We recently celebrated our daughter’s 5th birthday at Paradise Cove, and overall, it was a fun and memorable experience! Here are some of the pros and cons based on our experience: Pros: • We were able to bring in our own food, drinks, table decorations, and party favors, which made the event more personal and affordable. (They do not allow deliveries) • The Funbrella we rented was conveniently close to the water slides, so the kids could easily go back and forth between the party area and the attractions. • The Funbrella rental was $100 for the entire day, which we felt was reasonable. Enough shade for 30 guests with the 4 tables. • One unexpected but pleasant surprise was that the staff made a speaker announcement and rounded up guests to sing "Happy Birthday." We didn’t know they did this, but it was a sweet touch! Make sure you ask the staff to do this! We just heard them making announcements of others and found out this was possible the day of. Cons: • We were told to bring a guest list and that we would only be charged for those who actually attended. However, when we arrived, the staff wouldn’t accept the list we had prepared in advance. Instead, they required us to rewrite everything by hand on their form, so they could write the check in times next to it. They could have stapled the sheet I had and wrote the check in times next to the names. But they refused. Which took away valuable time from decorating and getting set up as guests were already arriving. Make sure they email you the documents prior so it's less chaotic the day of. • There was a clear lack of communication between the phone staff and the front desk. We received conflicting information throughout the planning process. • A very important detail: if your guests enter through the regular entrance instead of the designated Funbrella line, the staff does not check if they’ve been prepaid for — even if they mention they’re there for a birthday party. Make sure to clearly instruct your guests to go through the Funbrella line to ensure they're accounted for. • We were also not informed ahead of time that they have a no-refund policy. Instead of a refund for the no-shows or your guests make the mistake of going through the regular entrance. We were given return tickets for the guests who didn’t make it but really made it. It would have been helpful to know this earlier to plan accordingly. Final Thoughts: Despite the bumps in communication and the check-in process, the kids had an amazing time, and the birthday girl felt extra special. I hope this review helps others who are considering having a party here. Just be sure to double-check all details in writing ahead of time to avoid any...

First and probably last time visiting this waterpark today. First of all, we got there a few minutes before they open at 10 AM and I was surprised to see the amount of debris that was in all of the pools. There was a ton of trees and leaves and I even saw some animal poop underneath the fallen bridge in the lazy river section. Clearly cleanliness was not a priority for them even at the beginning of the day before the first customers arrive. I’m not sure whose responsibility it is, but if it’s a lifeguards, they didn’t start rolling in until about 10 to 5 minutes before opening.
Both of the giant buckets and some of the water shooters in the kids splash zones did not work. While with my son on one of the play areas for the bigger kids, I went down a slide only to run into a little kid that was near the end, and immediately after that, the kid behind me on the same slide came crashing into me. It became evident then that the lifeguard did not make sure that the end of the slide was clear before they let the next person go. Speaking of the lazy river, it was very disappointing since the flow of water was very very slow and you basically had to just paddle yourself half the time to get any kind of movement. Another big concern was that the water at the end of each slide was very shallow even on the big. There’s only 4 feet of water at the end of the bigger slides and I landed on my back on my first run. Just in case you’re wondering I’m only 5 foot nine. Only 2 of the 4 slides were working.
I also considered maybe having a kids party here, but when I looked at the areas where you would reserve them, they were way too small for any kid parties of any real size. It consisted of a big umbrella with four tables so that means you couldn’t fit any more than six kids and their parents and still not have any place to put all the supplies and extra stuff you need to set up.
Even though the food was cheap ($3-6), it was almost inedible. We had the burgers, hot dogs, and fries. They were all terrible. We stayed away from the pizza after receiving a tip that it was just okay. Right before leaving, I used the restrooms which was old and in desperate need of an upgrade. Overall, it was a complete...
Read moreSo I live in Miami, drove up to visit this waterpark I heard about, the park opens at 10am, I got there before noon, took about 20 mins to make the line and get in and I noticed it was very crowded. So they have a section with small slides for the small kids, 5 and under. They have another in the middle for bigger kids, A VERY SMALL LAZY RIVER, and the 3 bigger slides for adults and teens. They should have a capacity because even the lazy river was literally bumper to bumper. No pool which I believe if there was a pool, it wouldn't be so crowded because you even have the adults in the kids section just laying there in the water. There's not enough shade or seating but there is room around to lay out towels and sit on the floor or you can even take your own foldable chairs. Outside food and drinks are allowed, which is a plus but their cafe/grill does offer food and drinks for a very low price. The cafe has seating but for whatever reason only open one side which is totally an inconvenience especially with how many people are allowed in there. They had a good amount of lifeguards all over the park. The entrance is $13.95, which is not bad but it wasn't something grand to experience. I probably wouldn't visit again if I'm...
