Horrible Customer Service – Will Never Shop Here Again!
I had one of the worst shopping experiences at this Nike store. I went in to return a pair of shoes and encountered nothing but unprofessionalism and shady practices from the staff.
First, when I tried to use a gift card for the purchase, I was informed it had already been used. I knew for a fact that this wasn’t true because I had just received the card as a gift. Instead of helping me resolve the issue, the staff just shrugged it off and told me there was nothing they could do. They kept insisting that I contact corporate, leaving me completely helpless in-store.
To make matters worse, when I attempted to return the shoes, they swapped the boxes, giving me a cheaper item’s box instead of the one I originally purchased. This shady tactic reduced the refund amount significantly, and when I pointed it out, the staff didn’t even bother to investigate. They outright dismissed my concerns, claiming it was “store policy.”
The cherry on top was their complete refusal to offer any solutions. I asked repeatedly to speak with a manager his name was Julio, but all he did was tell me to contact the corporate office. It felt like they just wanted to get rid of me rather than fix the problem.
This store’s customer service is appalling, and their handling of returns and gift card issues is beyond questionable. It’s clear they don’t value their customers or their loyalty. This isn't a treasure trove, consignment type of experience where you're made to feel that the value of the deal you get is based on how hard you're willing to dig. Nope. Items are steamed and hung - product placement and visual merchandising are a thing here, not like most other outlets. Also, at any given time, most of the four seasons, Nike has you covered. Going away on Winter Break and can't seem to find any cold weather clothing that's appropriate? Covered. Heading to the islands and in need of moisture wicking gear to support you being so close to the equator? Covered.
The experience can be as thorough or as fast as you like. Nike employees/ "athletes" innovatively cover the store with those handheld point of sale devices similar to the ones Apple Retail Stores use so you can be in and out in no time.
This place has been my little secret for some time now. I've held the info on my super cute purchases close to my chest but when a recent "oops" occurred, Nike Leadership showed up and showed out! No yelling, no irate displays on my behalf, just the mere mention of dissatification with a process and Alessandra - Mgr IMMEDIATELY took lead, only when appropriate did she call on Jamie - Area GM and together they did a hard reset on the Customer Experience button turning it into a VIP moment. Read moreAwesome service from the team!!! They steped and provided a great customer experience whereas the Sawgrass Mills Factory store claimed that the NIKE.com 2 year warranty is was news to them and that they couldn’t pull up the receipt.
The store Manager Sherrell was helpful over the phone Yadiel was very empathetic to the whole situation created by the Sawgrass Mills location.
Patrick completed the transaction with Yadiel not even taking more than 10 minutes to complete the transactions and without holding up other customers.
I highly recommend shopping at this store also because to enter there are no lines where at the Sawgrass Mills you have to make a line regardless of what you are there for. It didn’t matter if it was in person or over the phone regardless of the manager the approach is to discourage you to waste your time even if you have a receipt they will claim they can do in warranty and send you to customer service 800 where the website and customer service clearly indicates that the store is supposed to provide the warranty claims. Be sure to safeguard those receipts because it will make your life easier!
