Very dissatisfied with my event at Brio. Had went in almost two weeks before my event and looked at rooms. Picked the room we wanted for my dad’s birthday. Spoke to the event coordinator Natalia. Spoke to Erika at the restaurant and picked the room by the patio. Before I signed the contract I had asked for the price difference in the rooms and both rooms were the same 750 minimum so I chose to stay with our original choice. Picked a menu and everything. Signed the contract. The day of my dad’s party there was another party in the room. I ask to speak to a manager. His name I believe was Jose very unpleasant and rude. Stated that per the contract that they have the right to switch rooms if they need to. I was very upset and he did not care kept being rude saying there was a party there and he couldn’t just kick them out. He kept saying I can show you the contract. I kept stating I was physically there when I was planning this party and specifically told Natalia which room I had requested. He of course washed his hands of the situation by stating that in the contract they had the right to do as they deemed appropriate. I guess the appropriate thing to do was give away a room that I had reserved with time and give it to possible another party that had not even booked in advance. We were left with no choice but to keep the room they gave me since I had already left a non refundable deposit. There was no tea, the wine glasses were filthy. We kept asking to turn on the tv to stream music and no one could figure out why the tv wasn’t working. First there was no remote then it wouldn’t turn on. My guest kept asking for tea and they had only two tea bags. I had 16 guests. The restaurant was not prepared for our pre planned event that night. For dessert our menu pick was crème brûlée. They did not have that either they had one and they gave that to my dad since that’s the dessert he wanted. Overall I regret picking your establishment for my dads 64th birthday. I thought it would be classier but, it was definitely embarrassing because of the things a restaurant of your caliber was lacking. The person who truly deserves an amazing review was our waiter Brenda! She truly shined at being polite and patient. She was welcoming and definitely a breath of fresh air. The way she treated my family was the kind of treatment I was expecting the whole experience. The manager wanted to speak to me after the event. His attitude changed from the rotten to all of a sudden saying I’m so sorry for everything he thought they had the desserts and about the mix up with the room and just basically trying to redeem himself saying there were things that weren’t charged to our tab like 3 lemonades and the dessert changes!! Which only occurred because your restaurant did not have the desserts we ordered in advance for our event nor the unlimited tea, and coffee and soft drinks the restaurant claimed to have on hand but did not have any tea available. He was basically trying to make it seem he did us a favor but, he did not. We will NEVER PICK BRIO FOR AN EVENT EVER AGAIN. I would strongly advise against planning an event here because of the experience I went through. I kept my composure throughout the night and even as the manager spoke to me that night but it doesn’t change the way I feel about the experience. My Dad and guests deserved better and deserved what we had paid for. But, it definitely didn’t seem to bother the manager. Kuddos to Brenda! Brenda should have been the manager that night the way she was behaving she had class and finesse that you can’t just can’t...
Read moreCame to this place for Father’s Day and the hostess was great. Got seated, ordered our food no problem. 30 minutes later we get our mediocre bruschetta and bread n butter (when has an Italian place given you read butter with no oil !?) anyway so we order our food. An hour and a half later a new server comes to tell us our previous server left and she was taking over. In all my years dining out, when there’s a shift switch the waiter comes and lets you know their shift has ended and introduces the new waiter, not at this dining establishment apparently. So after 20 minutes of our new waiter ignoring us and chit chatting by the extremely cold food she was serving other tables which had been out the kitchen and waiting to be given to customers for over 40 minutes (lucky us we were sitting facing their open kitchen), we decided to ask her what was going on with our food as we had been there for over an hour waiting. To make a long story short, the only meal ready was mine which had been sitting there stale for about 40 minutes, our previous server never even entered the orders of the rest of my family!! To top things off when I asked for the check as it was 9:30 pm and we had arrived at 7pm the “manager” if you could even call him that brushed us off and didn’t even bother to come to our table. Simply gave us a 5 dollar discount on our appetizer and drinks. Lastly when has a double been charged as two separate drinks? Would I ever bring anyone else to this establishment or go myself DEFINITELY NOT. Every time I’ve been here the service has been horrific, the food wasn’t so bad which is why I continued to come but for this to happen on Father’s Day and the blatant disregard for the situation by the staff and manager is enough for me to never visit this franchise again. Don’t bother to go to this place just do what we did and go to brimstone next door they actually know what...
Read moreTHIS IS BY FAR THE WORST “ITALIAN” RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS!!! I went to this “high dining” restaurant with a group and am absolutely disgusted by this place. We were sat down like any other, but things quickly went south. First off, our waiter was very forgetful and constantly needed to be reminded of what we ordered. We asked for a kids menu, which took 20+ to get, and lemons for a drink which came after receiving most of our meal. We were NEVER offered bread, and after asking for it ourselves, we ended up getting a stale block of who knows what. The butter was harder than the Rock himself and IMPOSSIBLE to spread. We ended up getting some entrees before a VERY simple appetiser. Calamari. 95% of the calamari wasn’t even calamari. It was filled to the brim with sauce, and the soggy and sorry excuse for calamari itsef didn’t even have calamari! It was only fried peppers!!!! Fast forward a while, like a really long while, we got all of our food. I would bet my grandmas rocking chair that the chicken Milanese came from a box. ABSOLUTLEY REPUGNANT. Chicken was cardboard, the pastas texture was the equivalent of mashed potatos, and it came with no sauce. The self made pasta was also mushy and the sauce was gross. HOW CAN YOU MESS UP SPAGHETTI WITH WHITE SAUCE. Lastly, the WORST part of this experience was the lasagna. OH MY GOODNESS I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE TERRIFIED IN MY LIFE. The lasagna is beyond every living being, in fact it tasted like a corpse. There was a white goop sauce which honestly tasted and smelled so bad, it made me wanna throw up. The food itself looked like throw up, to the extent where I even started tearing up from the presentation and smell.
My final say is directed to the manager (who never came to apologise), the food tasted like cardboard, and a cardboard cut out would probably be more productive and talented than the chef.
NEVER EAT HERE,...
