To make a long story short: You won't regret working with Technologies for Tomorrow in Pensacola. I rely on 6 Apple devices to help me run my business, plus there's another 4 Apple devices in my household, and I will never take any of them to a shop other than TFT!
Now for the long story: I had a much-loved Late 2011 MacBook Pro that died in late 2016, and my research of its symptoms pointed to motherboard failure. So, I shelved it and bought a new MacBook Pro and moved on. Fast-forward to January 2020...
When looking for an Apple-certified shop to take my 2016 MacBook Pro to for AppleCare services (battery and butterfly keyboard), this downtown shop was closest to my location, so I went in to check them out. While chatting with Sam at TFT, he kindly explained that they would have to keep my machine for longer than 24 to 48 hours, so I told him I'd have to schedule some "down time" and bring it in for service then. But then I remembered my Late 2011 MBP was sitting on a shelf in my office, and thought if TFT could fix it, then I would have a solid backup machine while my newer model is in the shop for servicing.
So I brought in my Late 2011 MBP, and Erik was absolutely phenomenal. I was fully expecting an expensive repair, and I had already told myself that it would probably cost more to fix it than it was really worth. Erik kept it overnight, ran all kinds of tests on it, and determined that it was basically just a software issue! For less than $100, my Late 2011 MacBook Pro is fully restored, running like a champ. I feel like an idiot for letting it sit on a shelf for so long, but if I had known TFT existed, I would have taken it to them to begin with! They didn't charge me anything to look at it and give me repair pricing, and there were NO surprises or nickel-and-dime "service fees" or "hourly labor charges".
Erik was truly fantastic to work with; he explained things very well and took care of everything. The best part is that the machine was even CLEAN when I picked it up from them! It had been sitting on a shelf collecting dust for over 3 years, so it was pretty dirty when I took it in, but it looks (and works) like a brand new machine now. I'm thrilled with the results, and I will definitely be taking them my 2016 MBP for the AppleCare service issues later this week.

   Read moreI brought my macbook in on Tuesday 4/12/22. The day before I went on apple because my screen had a crack on it and a line through the screen. I had apple care so I assumed that Id send it back to apple and itd be like a 2-3 week process. Apple suggested this place because they take apple care! I scheduled my appointment for the next day (Tuesday). I came in and they were very helpful. If i didn't have apple care it would have been $600+ to replace my screen. I paid a little over $100 to replace my screen. Now for an apple product thats a pretty good price. They were so quick to order my part to replace the screen and sent me text updates throughout the whole process. On Thursday 4/14/22 I received a text saying my MacBook was ready for pick up and they ran diagnostics after to make sure everything was ready to go. I worked that day so I was unable to pick it up. They had no problem holding it for me until I was available the next day to come get it. The process of picking it up was so easy.
