Let me begin by saying that this review does not depict how I feel about the company as a whole, or the product they sell. Krispy Kreme's have always been and will always be my favorite doughnuts. Nevertheless, my experience at this location was so awful that I just couldn't stay silent, but the corporate website does not have a 'concerns? Send us a review or complain here' tab or option, so here I am. I stepped into this location at roughly 7:30pm (5/2/23) - not during a rush or otherwise inopportune time. I decided to use the facilities before placing my order, and was astonished to find the restroom in perfect condition. Let me be clear in saying that this is the ONLY reason I am giving one star at all. While finishing up washing my hands, the sound of a young woman yelling down the corridor to whoever was in the bathroom (me) to go find a Dunkin' Donuts caught me by surprise. I figured I had heard her wrong, and dried my hands. When I opened the door, I was met by two women sharing an inside joke and then fighting (loudly and unprofessionally) over the only restroom. The two young women playfully called back and forth to each other, occasionally using a racial slur and other derogatory terms for women while I awkwardly headed to the front counter, looking over the selection in the display case. At that point, a young man came around the corner and headed down the corridor to the restroom. The smaller of the two women was walking back up to where I was while the well-endowed individual entered the restroom. The woman a few feet away from me then proceeded to encourage the man to pick the lock and barge in on her - to which he laughed and began unenthusiastically 'attempting' to bust the door down. This elicited a half-hearted shriek from the woman in the restroom. They had a laugh and she turned back to me, muttering something under her breath with a less than pleasant tone. I'm hard of hearing sometimes, so I simply leaned in and asked her to repeat herself. I assumed she had said something along the lines of "What can I get for you?" or "Are you ready to order?" Ya know - general customer service type dialogue - I had to push past my millennial social anxiety to ask her to repeat herself. "I wasn't talkin' to you." she flatly retorted, turning away from me to look down the hallway. There was no one else standing there (I was the only 'customer' in the whole building), so I don't know if she was talking to someone on a Bluetooth or earbud or what, but her attitude and demeanor was extremely rude. I get it. I've been in customer service in either food or retail for over 12 years; there are some days that you just don't want to deal with people anymore. I had literally just gotten off work from the bakery I am currently employed at just up the road and I certainly wasn't feeling particularly 'people-y'. But ya know what? We get up, we put our adulting underwear on and we go to work and we deal with people because we have to. I stood there for a moment, while a small group of people came in and began chatting beside me, looking at the case. I acted as though I was trying to make a decision on what doughnuts to purchase, but honestly, I was trying to decide if I should even get anything. I felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome, I just wanted to leave, but I didn't want them to think I had only come in to use the restroom. (I told you, millennial anxiety.) Without telling me to take my time or even asking me if it was okay to start helping the people behind me, since it was clear I wasn't quite ready, she turned to the group beside me and said "What do ya'll need?" in a less than charismatic tone. That was the final straw for me, and since the group didn't seem to pick up on her attitude and thusly weren't about to call her out on it and I certainly wasn't... I faked getting a phone call (again, millennial, here) and stepped out of the building and walked back to my car. Bottom line: good doughnuts; good company; absolutely trash service from tonight's staff. Won't be going back to this particular...
Read moreSo, I've gone here for years! I've been law enforcement and military in Pensacola. I don't really ask for discounts and where I live now there isn't any. I decided to visit to reminisce good memories and well it went bad quick. First, the young black man was rude and appeared to be high, overly tired, or simply just didn't care. Second, I asked for a Iced Caramel Mocha. He stated that they couldn't do a latte and only had the coffee. I ordered an Iced Caramel Mocha coffee and what I got was black coffee with caramel sludge. Yes, sludge, because every time I sip that's what it is. It's DISGUSTING. See the picture for reference of what the drink looks like. I've ordered the same thing for years and usually don't complain. It's kind of a thing in the military and law enforcement not too. Third, I asked if they still had military discounts or anything and he shook his head no twice, after me asking twice to verify. I know this is simply not true, it's ALWAYS been this way. I also asked around to verify that it was still a thing, which they said it was, and it has ALWAYS been in such a prestigous military town like this. When I asked around I heard very recent experiences from others that had a terrible experience. Sadly, the town and businesses in the town continue to decline. Another good memory lost from childhood. Lastly, I have my own business and my family has been in many business lines to include the food industry. This was and would be completely unacceptable for them. Do better and don't make excuses. There is always room for...
Read moreThis donuts shop has completely become a place that I will not visit again. I use to love coming here every time that I come to Pensacola ( my home town) The donuts are not the Krispy Kreme that I remember. I grew up here in Pensacola and KK was always the BEST donut place to visit. I went last night while visiting Pensacola and the service was awful. We went inside because we didn't want to wait in the drive thru lane. The cashier took forever to wait on me and when she did, she put the donuts in a box and placed them at the cash register. Instead of her saying to me. Ma'am I have your donuts here, she just kept me standing in this long line and never called me to the register to pick up my order. My husband finally stepped up and asked who took my order and then proceeded towards the cashier to ask if she took my order. She nodded that yes she had my order, but that made me even madder that she didn't call me up to the front to get my order, instead, I stood in the ridiculous line waiting to get my order. I dislike Krispy Kreme so much right now for the terrible service and the donuts are NASTY!! Nothing like they use to taste back in the day. I always come home and run as fast as I can to Krispy Kreme. But NEVER...
