My favorite local dive bar.I have never had a bad time there and I always meet the most laid back non judgemental friendly people.The drinks are definitely not watered down and usually two is my limit.I like it because the crowd is the most diverse accepting group of cool cats in Pensacola...never the same and you never know what your night will be ,you could meet bikers,old ladies,hippies,businessmen,gay and lesbian folk,punk rockers,musicians ,artists,fire dancers,fishermen, rockers,cross dressers,and almost Everytime I am there I see someone I know and did not expect to see.You can also play pool , skeet ball or just kick back and listen to the jukebox,where you will hear anything from Hank Williams,to Beyonce,to Alice in chains ,to Nina Simone.. great local spot that is a no-brainer for those who can't...

The Z is still ok by me. I liked it better before whatever city counsel Jack-of-no-trade took over. The nerve to call cops on me once for sitting in the parking lot consoling a friend right after a family member passed. Cops left us alone and the rookie was reigned in by Mrs. Officer. Larry, I think, was the politician/ new owner. He bought it hung around for a while then haven't seen 'em. No loss there fer sure, but I lots of times just sit in the vehicle in the parking lot. Heard good things about this place but man what a let down. You’ll find stronger, cheaper drinks in central/northern Pensacola compared to here. Wanted to watch the nights’s ball game on their small bar side tv at the bar but the bartender blocked the screen half the time while talking politics to patrons. Awkward long gaps of silence between songs being played. Can’t think of a reason to go back. Also, know that this is a cash only operation.
