Great place to walk a dog! The short paths are paved and wide, but that doesn’t take away from the natural feel of this park.. prairie grasses, forest and a nice lily pad pond (although very scummy/mosquito-y in the summer). Also a good, hilly place to run. Plus the play ground, basket ball court, pavilion, and open field…it’s got a lil something for everyone. Downside is it’s usually very busy (probably because it’s so popular)

Beautiful park especially because of the lake right next to the walking path with an abundance of lily pads and a few water lilies in blossom. Nice shade on the walking path.

A lovely park with a covered picnic area, play ground, a few short trails, and a fishing pond with multiple piers. Great place to have a picnic or go for a stroll.

We didn’t walk around the whole loop but I really liked it! I’m new to Illinois and this park is really nice to see the different vegetation and ecosystem. Saw many little critters running around, birds and only heard splashes from the frogs. Loved looking out at the lily pads You can also fish off the docks! Bring water to drink There is only one parking lot shaped in a circle The switch backs going down were nice and easy, coming back up wouldn’t have been so bad if it...

I enjoy taking my kids to this park. The playground is fun, albeit pretty simple, but still fun. There's a reeeeaaaalllly good trail, with a pond that has some small piers to with some nice views. You are also able to fish at this pond. A very enjoyable nature hike, as well as exercise. I recommend this park for repeated visits, and you can apparently have parties at the playground as well (please clean...
