The belt on my washer blew mid-cycle and filled my house with smoke before I caught it. This pushed my mental stability off the edge. So I made the split decision to take my husband and kiddo on a mini staycation, as he didn't have school the next day and we needed to wash laundry one way or another. We wanted to go all out and spoil ourselves and surprise him so we reserved the jacuzzi room! Fancy! We packed up our dirty clothes and a couple of other essentials and went straight to the hotel after picking up kiddo from the bus stop. But the issues didn't stop there. First when I went to check in (nearly 2 hours after check-in time) we had to wait for the, very sweet, man at the front to "check if the room was ready" because they were "doing maintenance". Weird but ok. Yup he comes down and says it should be ok but he just has to grab a bucket out. So we get our key and he takes us up. It smells STRONG! Chemical strong, like cleaning supplies, so not awful but strong nonetheless. I mention that it smells "clean" and he informed us that they used Ozone and had just scrubbed the air. Ok...cool ig. Then we start to get settled in, I notice the windows were cracked, prob to air out the Ozone. Then....the whirlpool. Yuck! It's in a dark corner so it's a little hard to see but definitely full of short curly hairs!!!! BLEHK! We called the front and the sweet man (I wish I got his name) was apologetic and came right up to clean it for us. He even had me double check with my phone light to make sure. All good and not his responsibility but much appreciated. A few moments later we hear a knock and it's him with snacks and wine....a sweet gesture except my husband and I are both in recovery and therefore sober. Whomp whomp. That stung a little but he didn't know. We immediately hopped in the Jacuzzi and loved it! We ended up doing a few soaks in between laundry and visiting the pool and spa which were not spotless but not nasty either. The spa was HOT which felt great and the pool was a perfectly refreshing temp between spa soaks. Breakfast the next morning was fine we had some yogurt and waffles with juice. Before rounding up our things and checking out. Overall: Top 3 staycations of all time

I came to visit a friend at this hotel- hotel seemed nice but they are having construction happening and they have it blocked off with a makeshift door with a lock that that doesn't work, so be careful with your toddlers. My MAIN concern and complaint is the pool area is SO slippery. I mean more slippery then any pool room I've ever been in. I seen multiple children including my own eat shit in there, not running. and I myself had to walk in little baby steps. My almost three old was standing by the steps to get into the pool and shifted his body to take a step and face planted and CHIPPED HIS TWO FRONT TEETH!!!! I mean my child wasn't jumping, running, Fooling around nothing. Just be careful, get some wayer shoes or something. Lol

I had a birthday party for my 5 year old here yesterday as her birthday is in the winter but she loves to swim. I can not say enough good things about every person I met who works there. Particularly Rodney, who helped me with everything needed to get the party room ready, and also cooked a great breakfast the next day. My daughter said it was her favorite day and can't wait to go back.

Let me say to be fair that we have stayed here in the past and have been overall satisified. This time was much different though.....we stayed here for 1 night and I very dissatisfied. Our family got in our room at 9:00pm and the room smelled of weed and did not seem to be the cleanliness. My wife called the desk and ask if we could switch rooms and explained the problem. She was told there was no other rooms were available and they were sold out. They said the police were there the night prior because of issues. I would assume the marijuana had something to do with police being there even though the manager made a point to tell me " that weed is legal in IL" .....I was unaware that it is was legal to smoke weed in a hotel....lol. I went down to talk to the manager the next day to explain that this should've been disclosed to us as we would've found a different hotel and wasn't right we should have to pay full price for a hotel room that smelled of weed. The manager said she would take 29.00 off the price. I'm not sure where she got 29.00, but was not satisfied with that compensation considering my wife and kids had to put up with that smell for the duration of our stay. I went on to tell her that I am going to write a negative Google review. The unapologetic manager said she wishes she knew that because then I would not have received ANY discount (nice customer service...not). I asked to have her supervisor's name so I could talk to her. She gave me her name and said she was going to tell her I was threatening her because I said I would write a negative review. I explained to her I was not threatening to write the negative review because I WAS going to write the review no matter what at this time to share my negative experience. I am not saying this hotel chain is bad overall, but this particular experience was not...
