After reading some of the other reviews, I understand there was a change of management. Perhaps that explains why, when I went there several years ago, it was neatly organized; easy place to shop.
Now, the small household items are only somewhat organized (by color and use) but the actual items are somewhat jumbled up - they aren’t on the shelves neatly displayed anymore. It looks “ratty” as my mother would have said.
Also, they have a lot more clothing - but (for example) the men’s clothing are divided into pants (and shirts, of course), and also subdivided into color (example: beige or black) - but you have to search through 50 or 75 pairs of pants to try and locate any that are the size you want! It is an impossible task, especially when the man who needs the pants has lost patience after looking at only 5 or so pairs of pants, all mixed up in size. It makes shopping actually take an hour or more, just to finally locate a pair of size 44 pants. Most of the men’s clothing is for VERY slender men - size 32 waist was the most popular! Also, I found quite a few women’s slacks jumbled in with the mens’ clothing. It is not that hard to tell that a size 8 or 14 is womens’ sizing, not mens’.
Also, I was under the impression that all the electrical items were tested before being put out for sale. We were looking for an old cassette/CD player, but of the 3 we found, the radio worked, but not the CD. Again, we wasted a lot of time.
On the other hand, if you do have the patience to sort out the clothing/size Mishell-mosh, you can find very nice pieces at a decent prices, especially if the tag is the day’s sale color.
Oh, one more thing - know the going price for things, new and used. Some things are very over-priced for a...
Read moreEDIT: unfortunately, recently they have begun to up-price things based on brand name. I've seen something marked up simply because its "Zara" even though it's a normal top. Or Vans for $20 instead of 10, regardless of the quality. It's still not BAD, and they don't ALWAYS up-price, so it must be dependent on who is in the back. It's still better than other Goodwills I go to, but I was sad to see them start to change prices based on brands. I will still continue to go here; it's not enough up-pricing to make the trip not worth it. Just something I hope they don't continue to do..
Original: Honestly this is the only goodwill near me that DOESNT up-price stuff. (Unless there’s a super obvious reason to). In fact, I’ve seen employees say, “hey this is priced too high, bring it back and fix it”. I’ve gotten good finds there that were the same baseline price as all goodwills. Love this store for that reason.
(this part is still accurate even after the Edit:) The employees are also always bringing out new racks. They do a good job of continually processing clothing. I was there for 2 hours once and saw at least a dozen racks/carts come out from the back, if not more.
There’s nothing to be done about resellers. At any goodwill. There’s a lot here, but that’s not the store's fault. It’s annoying as hell but what...
Read moreBEWARE of their technical issues!!!i was charged twice 3 weeks ago and it still hasn’t been resolved by management!!!! This location has technical issues with the card machines & I had a young girl as my cashier who said my debit card was not going through (despite the machine saying “duplicate transaction”) and that I need to try another card. My credit card went through, but now I have a duplicate charge on my 1st card. I went in store, called them multiple times, for them to say their IT department is slow and taking tons of time going through records of transactions to process my refund request (despite my evidence of both bank statements). They told me I need to call my bank and have them sort it….. it’s 2025….. this technical issue shouldn’t even happen.. and while the assistant manager Joe and the manager Christine were friendly… no one solved my issue and left me to deal with it…. Had to open a dispute claim with my bank and it’s been a headache… DO NOT GO TO...
