McNear Park in Petaluma is a great place to bring your dog! The enclosed baseball park doubles as a dog park, which provides a large, safe area for dogs to run and play. There's also a big jungle gym for kids, though it looks a bit worn. The tennis courts are in nice condition and a good place to get some exercise. Here are some additional details about McNear Park: * Size: It's a 7.7-acre park, so there's plenty of space to spread out. * Amenities: In addition to the dog park, playground, and tennis courts, McNear Park also has picnic tables, BBQ areas, and restrooms. * Location: It's located on the west side of Petaluma, at 1008 G Street. * Popularity: This park is popular with locals and visitors alike, so it can get busy at times. Here are some things to keep in mind if you visit McNear Park: * Dog park rules: Be sure to follow the posted rules for the dog park, such as keeping your dog on a leash until you're inside the enclosed area. * Playground safety: Supervise young children on the playground, as the equipment may be older. * Tennis court reservations: If you want to play tennis, it's a good idea to reserve a court in advance. * Parking: Parking can be limited, especially on weekends and during peak hours. Overall, McNear Park is a great place to enjoy the outdoors with your family and friends (and furry friends!). It offers a variety of activities and amenities for all ages.

Lots of great picnic spaces for birthday's. A great dog park and playing fields. The bathrooms are kept clean, and the play structure is fun to run around on. It provides lots of imaginative play opertunities. Best of all the shade from all the trees makes everyone happy on a summer day.

Awesome park hidden under the trees. Great playground and restrooms! Lots of kids when I last went and my little one loves the bark, sand pit, and slides! Big kid section is quite epic with talk slides as well.

When I first got my German Shepherd, we use to ho there all the time, on our three mile daily walk. At first, hou had the park to yourselves, but then, if there were people playing baseball, you couldn't even be on the other side of the Diamond 100 feet away. And, a Dobernan attacked my Dog, and bit her legs and her back. The owner of the Doberman told me to get my dog off of his; But, he stood I front of me, to keep me from getting my dog, and so his dog could keep biting my dog. After that, I started going to the Dog park between Westridge Drive and Sunnyslope Road, and back a block from I Street. One one side, your dog doesn't have to be on a leash, and the other side, they do have to b on the wash, on the playground side. There is also a nice area that us mowed weekly, that is about 500 feet square. It also has a nice creek going through it, and here, you can be here until dark, where as McNearpark, you can't be there after 3 p.m; And, if you're dog is off ye leash outside of the fenced area, they could get a ticket of $75.00 for the first offence; And the 2nd offence can be...

What an awesome neighborhood park! Mcnear Park is walking distance from my in-laws new home. My husband's friends host a fun horseshoe tournament at this park every year. My first visit to Mcnear was for the tournament four years ago not long after meeting my husband. The tourney is fun for both the participants and spectators (like myself), since there are lots of shady trees to sit and watch the games under.

In addition to horseshoe pits there are small and very large BBQ pits. It's a wonderful park for small families or big groups. We saw two large parties last time we were here, with bounce houses set up and elegantly decorated picnic tables!

There is a restroom near the children's play area. The restroom and the park alike are very clean. Lots of garbage and recycling cans around. ...
