At first, hou had the park to yourselves, but then, if there were people playing baseball, you couldn't even be on the other side of the Diamond 100 feet away. And, a Dobernan attacked my Dog, and bit her legs and her back. The owner of the Doberman told me to get my dog off of his; But, he stood I front of me, to keep me from getting my dog, and so his dog could keep biting my dog. After that, I started going to the Dog park between Westridge Drive and Sunnyslope Road, and back a block from I Street. One one side, your dog doesn't have to be on a leash, and the other side, they do have to b on the wash, on the playground side. There is also a nice area that us mowed weekly, that is about 500 feet square. It also has a nice creek going through it, and here, you can be here until dark, where as McNearpark, you can't be there after 3 p.m; And, if you're dog is off ye leash outside of the fenced area, they could get a ticket of $75.00 for the first offence; And the 2nd offence can be...

What an awesome neighborhood park! Mcnear Park is walking distance from my in-laws new home. My husband's friends host a fun horseshoe tournament at this park every year. My first visit to Mcnear was for the tournament four years ago not long after meeting my husband. The tourney is fun for both the participants and spectators (like myself), since there are lots of shady trees to sit and watch the games under.
In addition to horseshoe pits there are small and very large BBQ pits. It's a wonderful park for small families or big groups. We saw two large parties last time we were here, with bounce houses set up and elegantly decorated picnic tables!
