Pulaski Park provides Philly with a pleasant escape from the incessant noise of the bustling city. The park offers scenic views up and down the sparkling waters of the famous Delaware River. Tugboats, freighter ships, tankers, and barges are often seen plying the waters. Pulaski Park is easy to reach. Just follow Allegheny Avenue traveling East, all the way to the Delaware River. Drive with extreme caution once you pass under the I-95 freeway, especially on weekdays. There's an abundance of heavy trucks entering and exiting the roadway from numerous industrial facilities on both sides, and from the Tioga Marine Terminal just down the road past the park. There's a parking lot just inside the front gate. But it's relatively small and fills up rather quickly on weekends and holidays, especially when pleasant weather prevails. Exercise extreme caution inside the parking lot. Watch out for children, fishermen, and bicycles traversing the blacktop. Be especially cautious when exiting the park. Because there's only one gate, it's necessary to back up out of your parking spot facing the opposite way from entering the park. One visit won't be enough. You'll want to visit this precious gem of a park...
