I visited Tshatshke very early on when I moved to Port Richmond, and I've been many times since. Most jewelry stores I've visited are cold and intimidating, but Tshatshke is different. It's warm and inviting (there's a shop dog and shop cat!), and there are a lot of different options at a variety of price points. They spotlight a wide variety of jewelry styles and creators. Everything is beautiful, high-quality, and original. Shop owner Maddy is friendly, knowledgable, and patient and makes the coolest stuff imaginable. Whenever folks ask me what to check out when they come to the neighborhood, Tshatshke is one of the first places I suggest.
On a personal note, Maddy collaborated with my dad on a top-secret gift for my mom and made her a gorgeous ring. Maddy kept him apprised of her progress every step of the way. My mom was totally shocked and absolutely loves her ring, and my dad is Maddy's...
Read moreI didn’t care about jewelry until I met Maddy. Her attention to detail and her dedication to the craft makes you fall in love with the world of precious metals and gems. That enthusiasm is seen all around you as you step into Tshatshke. My daily accessories and milestone pieces have all been sourced from the shop, and it’s my go-to stop when I need a gift for a loved one.
Maddy worked with my now-husband to create the most beautiful bespoke engagement ring. It’s a work of art, truly. We worked with her again on our wedding bands and I’m OBSESSED with the set. I’m constantly amazed by the custom work I see her producing for others. You can tell she cares deeply.
It’s a core value of the hers to treat every single patron with kindness and care, and you can tell the second you walk into...
Read moreI can't say enough good things about this jewelry store. Do you hate Jews and think they're subhuman and don't deserve the same rights as everyone else BUT you don't want to be labeled a Jew hater? I've got just the solution for you. Come shop at this Jewish-owned business. They make it very clear they were born and raised Jewish, and you know what that means! Hate on Jews as much as you like - apply any and every double standard and What-About-Ism! Go ahead, blame the victim! Scream "All Lives Matter" to your heart's content, and ignore all the ancient antisemitic tropes that have somehow (definitely not intentionally) found their way seamlessly into today's Antizionism discourse. Trust me, it's all good here - you'll be provided all the cover you need. Thanks, Internalized...
