First I would like to start off asking if anyone has a customer service number to call for LA Fitness overall not just specifically this one in the Andorra shopping center, because I feel as if they will not deal with my issues the way they should be dealt with.
A friend of mine is a member here and put my name on a list to be called and have sign up for a low fee. When she was told about this she swore that they said it was $20 a month. So I thought that was a great idea and decided to go in and speak to a sales person. While there they weren't sure why she may have been told $20 but were still willing to tell me all the other deals that they had. Two in particular were: pay up front for a year for $20 a month and another one (which I needed to keep between him and I, which I can only imagine how many people he said that to that day) was pay for 2 months $29.99 and get one month free. After the third month I'd have to go back to him and they "would see what they could do." After being a little ticked off that I wasn't getting what I was initially told I was not interested in signing up anymore so I went on my way.
My Fiance and I talked about our finances and thought it would be ok to sign up even doing the pay for a year straight up front. So I went in today with the thoughts of paying $240 for a full year. When I got there they went through the deals again (same guy), and when I mentioned about the year he asked me to wait for another guy to come and talk to. When I repeated the information about the full year deal he said "what friend told you that?" I said "no friend told me that, you told me that." He then had the nerve to tell me that he would have never said anything like that to anyone. At that point I had enough and just thought to myself I needed to talk to someone in the LA Fitness coporate world so they could reevaulate their employees. I told my friend that I wish that conversations like these could be recorded because why would I come in there making something up like the paying one full year for $240.
In the end I joined paying $29.99 a month. I had no walk through of the gym, no overview of what classes were offered, no idea they had a basketball court until I went on the website as I was looking for a number to call. O and I think I may have saw a smoothie bar or snack area, but who knows because he didn't tell me anything. Since I joined my friends account is she being charged for me or does it come off of whatever card I gave them to pay my first/last/initiation fee? All these questions that should have been answered without me asking.

Read moreTERRIBLE isn’t even enough to describe the experience we just had at this location . New to the area we decided to check out a few location prior to confirmed a home gym for us although we had already signed up for the membership. So far our 13 years old have been able to be accompanied us with no issue until we got to that location . Now I understand that although LA Fitness it’s the same everywhere , each location might have a little something different in their requirements, and that is perfectly understandable. But Khaliah Lesesane showed us something way different. She wanted ID’s for my boy which we didn’t have , she then said what about a birth certificate , like who Carries their birth certificate to the gym ??? … this was just plain weird . At this point we asked her if there was another way more reasonable because a birth certificate just 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️ Not sure if she was offended that we were questioning her but she went from 0 to 100 real quick . Her body language, head shaking , fingers pointing, and escalating instead of de escalating. The whole situation became about the way she was addressing us instead of helping us . She was super rude and disrespectful. We just wanted the situation over and us being able to enjoy our membership peacefully so we asked for a manager . She then said : I am the Operation Manager . What are you going to do now ? She said this to us with sarcasm and also as if she wanted to fight us . I honestly couldn’t associate her behavior with management of any level at this point and to think that she is operation management, it’s very sad . We told her that we would definitely put a complaint on her right away , but she obviously had no concerns or worries , as if she know there would be no consequences. She was again with sarcasm telling us to make sure we get her name right , accentuating on each letter on her name : KHALIAH LESESANE . Going to the gym should be relaxing not dealing with ridiculous situation like this . P.s: When called the customer service to complain about her , we found out that she also misrepresented herself, turns out she is Front Desk employee. Not sure what that is about but clearly something isn’t right about even this ....
Read moreI have been a member of this LA Fitness since August 1st of this year. This is my favorite gym for the price in the Philly area. I have been to Retro, Planet Fitness, and Sweat Fitness, all overly crowded at rush hours and too small to feel like you have your own space while working out. This location, even at its busiest times, will not be overwhelmed with people. Don't expect to walk in on a monday at 5pm and have an open bench waiting for you, but give it a few minutes and one will likely open up. 3 power racks are located in the back of the gym, 3 bar bell benches, 2 incline, 10+ dumbbell benches, and every machine you need to get in your lifting session. The pool is a decent size and the sauna is a life saver. The basketball court is often full but most people have no problem inviting you to hop in a game with them. The best part of this Gym is the manager Brian. He signed me up and greets me every day when I come in. Will reccomend this gym to anyone...
