Ghetto. Dark. Trashy. I wasn't sure I was even at the right place. It looked abandoned. You can't pay with a card? What is cash? I thought it was 2018. This stop is so ghetto. I was the only one there and I felt like there was people in the bushes and abandoned building behind the stop waiting for someone to rob. I would never let my sisters go there by themselves. If you look like a rich, college kid or someone who is not from the area, you will be more vulnerable. Get right with God and your double check your life insurance policy before coming here.

decayed. one of the times I went, it had the indescribably terrible smell of urine and rot. yes, rot. note: the chestnut hill west branch is separate from the rest of the station, and its basically a bus stop right next to train tracks and also none of this is accessible and in all honesty, I completely agree with the last photo I posted, the station does give off that vibes

This station is totally outdated! I don't understand why septa keeps such a dirty station here after all of these years like come on from dirty to the hallways smelling like piss to broken machinery they need to do better and renovate this station for a better passenger experience honestly this is the dirtiest station by far and it's quite sad to see it this way

Read the other reviews and you'll get a sense of the deplorable condition of this train station. People blame SEPTA, but surely Amtrak is also at fault for the complete and utter neglect of the North Philadelphia station. My bf and I happen to have to use it fairly regularly, and after dark it's frightening. There is no security, and as mentioned, there is neither a ticket booth nor a ticket-vending machine. The glass in the "waiting area" at the top of the steps has been bashed out so frequently that they've given up on replacing it. And then, all around (on the Indiana Street side) is a vast parking lot with not a single car in it. Mind you, it's free. People park along the entry street to the station; I guess they feel slightly less vulnerable that way. They can rush to their cars and...

A historic station in Philadelphia along the Northeast Corridor. Sadly, it has succumbed to the surrounding neighborhood and is sometimes frequented by vagrants and drug users. Vandals keep the platforms and through tunnel covered in trash and fresh graffiti. A shame that Amtrak doesn't shell some money and do more to keep the station cleaner, discourage vandalism and possibly have some station attendants or security there. I visit North Philadelphia on occasion to take pictures of the passing trains. The station definitely has potential and I hope one day can be returned to its...

Hello, I had bad customer service when trying to exchange my ticket on Sunday, October 24th. The representative told me that her name was Holly and she worked at the ticket counter. It wasn't what she said, it was how she said it. She wasn't courteous and acted as if I was bothering her. There was no other customers waiting at the ticket line. I've never had a problem before and that's why I use the online portal. Even the workers are friendly but not Holly. I just hope you have a better day and if I ever needed service again, Holly is not who I...
