Fried and damaged my hair! I was recommended to this location based on my desire to get my hair (ends), highlighted. I was told they do great coloring. What I wasn’t told was they have no experience with ethnic/curly hair types. During the consult I informed Nina the front desk associate that I have only ever done highlights, meaning the ends of my hair, and that I have only done it in phases over several visits. I also informed her that I wear my hairstyle curly and provided a reference photo of the color/style I wanted. Based on the “color,” Nina recommend I bleach and color my entire hair not just the ends. I informed here several times I never had this done, but she continued to highly recommend doing it that way. This process included bleaching my hair several times in one session then adding color (toner). Unaware and uninformed, Nina failed to mention that bleaching my hair that many times would completely remove/damage my curl pattern. As well the initial color I requested (platinum/grey), came out looking like ancient WHITE! I had to return the next day to get the color corrected, as I could not walk around with my entire head looking like DOC from “back to the future.” As well, no protective products were added to my hair to block the damage done during bleaching. In the days to follow, when I washed my hair clumps of hair continue to break off and fall out. I had to go back a third time and address my concerns and demand a refund. I was given a partial refund, but not with some very long debate with Nina stating, “she assumed I knew this would happen to my hair,” and “she assumed I wanted a new hairstyle,” and I “agreed to the services.” Which was all based on a bad consult and their inexperience with ethnic hair.

Long story short, this salon may know how to achieve proper coloring but it will come at a risk of damaging your hair and loosing your hair texture. Curly...

Shame I couldn’t give 0 stars. Poor communication about what to expect from a coloring, even after being shown pictures of what I was looking to achieve. Went in for a balayage and left with just regular looking bleached hair. Refused to provide a refund for a bad service rendered just because “you already paid” even though my hair color completely washed out the next day, with what little “color” they put in. Not only that, but the color came out spotty at the roots. Tried to speak to them about my concerns and they were set on being right and arguing instead of listening to a customer’s concerns and at least trying to make amends with a partial refund for the part of the service that went wrong. This isn’t how a professional establishment should behave OR operate and I’m completely surprised they have as many good reviews as they do, which are probably mostly fake. This place only cares about money and I wouldn’t send my worst enemy here.

Edit in reply to response: No, I didn't insist and this is why I stated that communication was poor on your part. You misled me to believe that the full price was for a bleaching AND balayage, not just the bleaching. I would have never paid that price if I knew you weren't going to balayage my hair and if the “color” you did put in didn’t wash out COMPLETELY the next day.

Update in 2023: I see yall are STILL doing fake reviews after each time a customer rightfully complains about your terrible work 💀 Your business should...

I stumbled upon this salon looking for a place to get my haircut/styled for my birthday. It was a Tuesday afternoon and I didn't make an appointment. I was seen right away and was out in exactly an hour! Firstly, the shampoo lady washed my hair better than I do. She was thorough, cleansed twice, and gives a nice head massage while working in the product. My hair dresser, whom I didn't catch his name, was not intimidated by my hair at all! I have A LOT of pretty thick curly/wavy hair. A typical salon does not take the time or is not properly trained on how to handle my head of hair 9 times out of 10. I'll always get charged extra (which is fine) but they can never get me out looking salon ready in the little hour they schedule your appointment. I'd always have to go home and touch up my crown/root areas. NOT THIS PLACE! This man cut my hair, blow dried it, straightened it, and finished up a little feathering action when it was all dry and straight and I was out the chair in an HOUR! My hair has never felt this nice!! Its light, silky, super straight and shiny! So not only was it one of the best wash, cut, blow dry/straighten but the PRICE just topped it all off. I would have easily been charged $80-90 for this service (w/o tip) and it was only...

I asked for a trim. I told him I didn't want points at my ears, I wanted my hair to blend upward and not short on the top. I said I didn't want to look like a man. This was my second time there but this was a different stylist. I was clear in communicating this. He took out the buzzers and went around my ears, I can't really see the sides of what he was doing, but I said, this is looking very short. He said the back was uneven, which I know was not.. My hair was grown in quite a bit. he took the buzzers and went up the back. I am getting scared at this point but can't see what he is doing. When he was done, I maintained my composure even though the girl at the front visibly felt for me. I paid and tipped as I am not one to make a scene. I cried all the way home and my family is shocked. I called back and the girl at the front felt bad and said next time, I would be with a different person. I am an older woman and can't carry this kind of cut. I was kind so I am unsure as to why he did this to me.

I went to get a blow dry and flat iron at this establishment. My experience here was very different from previously. I noticed the hair dresser adding sleek oil into my hair as well as another hair dresser but I was ignored when I had concerns, and the gentleman proceeded on adding sleek oil into my hair continuously. When i asked what he added to my hair but he kept telling me it wasn’t oil and that it was hair protector. My hair kept smoking as he kept going over it multiple times, but my roots were very curly. Not only my concerns but my siblings concerns were ignored. When my hair was finished and in result it was an oily clump together mess. Again when we asked why this happened a young lady started to gaslight us and told us that we can add powder to it, and that the hair wasn’t washed properly when they added sleek hair oil into my sisters hair. I don’t think I’ll be returning here. The customer service was very poor and disappointing in how they Handel a mistake on their behalf.

Unexpectedly amazing experience at a random hair salon on Bustleton Ave! I just walked in without an appointment and was blown away by the service. They started with a hair wash that included an incredibly relaxing head and back massage — such a nice touch! The stylist was super professional, really knew what they were doing, and gave me an absolutely perfect bob. I was honestly shocked at the price — only $35 for everything. Of course, I left a good tip. Definitely coming back. Hidden gem! Update from October 1st, 2025. This was my second visit to the salon – this time I came for highlights and a haircut. Once again, I was truly impressed! 🌸 The hair wash and massage were amazing and so relaxing. The result from the Airtouch and toning turned out exactly like the photo I had shown before. The whole process took a little over 4 hours, and the cost was $200 – which I find to be a very fair price for the quality and time spent. I highly recommend this salon! ✨
