Walters Park — Attraction in Phillipsburg

We grew up here and now our gr.child had fun in the sunshine even though it was chilly. I have always loved Walter's Park n worked the snack bar as a teen. Lots of fun then n I'm pretty sure the kids today have no idea the memories made at the pool n in the park back in the 70's due to the changes made. I understand it's machines now and pretty much everything is no longer done w the personal touch. This is a nice community park.

In an odd turn of events it's cleaner, better cared for, and better laid out that most of the parks on the other side of the Delaware. Now I was only there the one time, but I'm constsntly struck by the strewn trash in Lehigh Valley parks. And to walk into a park in a supposedly "bad" place like Phillipsburg and see a rather clean park is crazy.

It's also in the neighborhood it serves and is used by the community and has plenty of space to do almost everything.

Great place to walk or jog: 2x around = 1 mile. Park access roads are inclined - --- 1 short with steep incline --- 1 longer with gradual incline Additional fun and exercise can be had on basketball and tennis courts, as well as the playground. There are two swing sets: One for toddlers, and one for kids of all sizes and ages, All Ages!!! If you walk at dusk or later, wear reflective gear: some areas are better lit than others, and not all lights are on at the same time, nor are they all lit to brightest...
