Actually, "customer did not demand that he come now". I said I would no longer be using an unprofessional company and I would not be rescheduling. When a person is told to take off from work for an appointment it is not unreasonable to expect someone to show up. I was told since an exact time could not be given I would recieve a courtesy call 10 to 15 mins before to let me know they were on their way. At no time was I told that if unable to answer that no one would show up. I don't think I'm being unreasonable by expecting the tech to still do his job and show up for an appointment even if there was no answer on the phone. Especialky since I was given a confirmation phone call a few days before. You can't always rely on a phone. Signal could be down, the phone could be dead. Any number of reasons. But he still should have made an attempt to do his job! It would be different if someone came and no one was home. Then of course the tech would have to reschedule. 5 year old Refrigerator (LG Inverted Linear) stopped cooling/freezing on a Tuesday. I tried to self diagnose the problem and in the process of looking up fixes found out that LG lost a class action lawsuit for a known issue (bad compressors), but my fridge of course, wasn't eligible to be covered by a few months. (Side note - Get an LG at your own risk).
I called several places before finding Benchmark on Wednesday afternoon. All of the other places said it would be weeks to come out. Benchmark scheduled me within 2 days. They came out after a confirming call in the 3 hour timeframe given, exactly as the receptionist explained it would happen.
Charlie B was very professional. He came in, diagnosed the issue, explained what the issue was, clearly explained what my options/cost were, and had my refrigerator back up that day.
The repairs came with a 1 year parts and labor warranty. I would definitely recommend and use Benchmark for any future appliance issues I have....
