I've attended two free classes here, a Veterans Art class and tonight a Creative Journey class. I've enjoyed both classes thoroughly. The best part is learning new art methods without any experience necessary. Tonight we did marbling on paper and it was very meditative once I got started. The instructor was very nice and knowledgeable and I like that she gave some background on the activity. I also got to meet new people and another fellow veteran. Overall I definitely recommend their classes.

I actually got to work here as a model haven't been there in a long time but on the bright note because of recent surgery lost about 20 almost 30 pounds and the artist all seems quite happy it is nice not to hear anybody complain about the extra weight that I've gained & recently lost : and I am trying really hard to keep it off and work here again I always loved this place and am bummed that I haven't been able to get work here in a long time The artist appear to be very happy with me because apparently I am more active with gestures then they've had in a long time but then that's been my trademark for the last 20 years that I've been working as a life drawing model that I've always made very desirable gestures and I believe that's because I listen to the artists and try to get a feel for what they want and I communicate with the instructors of all the places I work at with the intentions of keeping the artists as happy as possible I'm aware to keep the artist happy it is important to somehow find some way to work on a TAN Because way back when I was in better shape and actually had a tan I was getting like 30 plus hours a week modeling all over the valley and the more I lost my tan the less work I started to get then I got married father'ed three children and gained weight which cost me a lot more work the more weight I gained and the paler I got the less they would use me it appears a tan gets more work than physical conditioning LOL ironically the tan would be easier to acquire would think but it is more difficult to acquire the proper environment to obtain a suntan than it is to exercise nonetheless everybody looks better with a tan it is on my wish list to have one again I miss getting those hours all...

This is a great place for life drawing sessions (amongst other things). Tuesday morning and Thursday evenings. Plus they have a monthly art event for veterans which I think is a fantastic use of the resources. The atmosphere is casual. You can join or donate to help cover expenses, the membership fee is only 45.00 a year or perhaps donate $100 or $1000 to help sustain this local...
