Good Healing Relaxation and Recovery — Attraction in Phoenix

Nathaniel was a pleasure to work with from the very beginning. I was in Phoenix from out of town and found this massage location conveniently located near downtown Phoenix. When I was booking ahead online, I had questions and called the number listed on Google. He answered promptly, addressed all my questions and talked me through the confirmation process. What i appreciated most is that he was willing to work with me and allow me to book and pay once I was there rather than have to pay online. This was really a huge factor in me choosing his service over others because I’m not comfortable paying large amounts online to a business out of state. I arrived at my appointment time. He provided a reminder confirmation text prior to my appointment with detailed instructions on how to enter the building. The one hour massage was such a great experience. He was extremely professional. He asked me what I was like for in terms of areas of focus and massage style. The space he works out of was all set up, clean, organized and relaxing. The space was private and I felt totally comfortable. I was able to unwind and relax while getting the best massage I’ve ever had! I told him I wanted a heavy hand massage and he did just that! I’ve had others in the past that just don’t feel like they are really applying force but he listened and did an amazing job. I left feeling super rejuvenated. Probably one of the worst massages I have had and I have had a lot of them. First off, he sent a text right after booking with misspelled words (even his business name spelled wrong) to change the appointment time. Then the address he texted was different from what is posted on the website. The small massage room is in a salon so I could hear laughter and loud talking throughout the whole massage. He attempted to drown it with turning the music up. Mind you, he only played one song on repeat. For almost two hours! He spent a great deal of time (45 minutes at least it felt like) using his elbows on my back often going back over the same spots when he was supposed to be on the other side! I could've foam rolled at home for free! The lotion bottle hardly had anything left in it and it made that obvious empty sound (you know when you're trying to get the last bit out)! Talk about relaxation. Then he left for five minutes to go get more oil he says. Lots of noises. Often didn't know what the other hand was doing while he was elbow deep in my back. For the price I paid I was expecting a better service. And now going back to look at the not so great reviews I agree with them! I didn't even get the full 2 hours. I try to support small businesses but that wasn't worth the amount. The sheets didn't smell great either. Felt like I had a elbow massage and stretched. I was in from out of town visiting, and on my last day in Phoenix, I decided I wanted to spoil myself with a relaxing massage. (Especially after doing so much walking/hiking over the past week)

I quickly Googled to see where I could go for a last-minute massage, and just kind of randomly picked the place closest to me, which happened to be Nathaniel and Good Healing Relaxation and Recovery. I figured, "he has good reviews, why not give this guy a try?"

The space itself is really cool - it's like a little collective where self-employed people can come and rent out space. His room is dark, cozy, and relaxing. Love the calming music he played.

During the first half of the massage, I fell asleep lol. I told him I wanted to relax, and he definitely made me relax. :) His technique was sooo good.

The second half of the massage we got to talking, and Nathaniel is so nice! He told me a little bit about himself and asked me questions about me.

It was overall a really great experience, and I'm glad I went. The time went by so quickly -- next time I'm in town I'll have to book longer. ;-)
