Update to owner: if your products had a lot of fragrance in it - it will cause a lot of reactions to those who have sensitive skin, has nothing to do with sulfates lol I gave 2 stars bc I didn’t ask for my ends to be point cut and after washing my hair several times my skin and scalp are still itching & my ends looks completely split and freyed. I didn’t have split ends because I don’t really or have heat styles my hair and wear protective hair styles. I also called in to make sure your stylists are experienced with wavy and curly hair and was told yes but the way my hair was cut at the ends have ruined my hair texture. I wish I had read the reviews before coming in. I was also quoted $600 to remove henna from hair that I had put in almost a year ago - no where near my roots. I also got a complimentary hair mask - not a discount. Thank you.
Update: my face & scalp still have an itchy reaction & whatever shampoo used completely ruined my curls and waves.
I will give 5 stars bc I liked my haircut and really enjoyed my experience with Janette but I will not be returning, there is a lack of etiquette. The shampoo, hair mask and fragrance in the store did make me break out all over my face and scalp - but it made my hair look amazing!
Janette was professional and really fixed the situation that I explain below. She’s a great stylist, kind and explained everything step by step and even suggested me to not get such a crazy choppy cut which I appreciated.
I called to reschedule an appointment - no one answers the phone or texts. I was texted by an assistant that I can come in at 8:30 AM Saturday. For some reason, this wasn’t communicated to the stylist. I showed by 8:10. No one was at the salon or aware to open the doors. At 8:30 I was let in. The stylist didn’t come in and there were 2 other women waiting already. Another for the same stylist at the same time. While I’m getting the cut, idk the assistants were asking me when I called, who I spoke to, what my email was like everything is within the texts they reached out to me on. I just didn’t appreciate it because it made me feel like I’m making it up - having to explain so many times. It would’ve been best as a private conversation instead of asking the customer a bunch of the same questions.

Read moreI’ve been coming here for a few years now, I’ve been helped by multiple stylist including the owner. I’ve always had a pleasant experience. But today was the worst experience I’ve ever had with any salon, and I’ve even had smoke coming out of my hair at a different salon. I arrived to my appointment 5 mins late tops, the stylist was not ready I understood. Finally 30 mins later an assistant comes up to me to tell me the stylist will be with me shortly but she’ll get me started. I was ok with that. I waited over an HOUR and I was still not helped, the stylist did apologize and said she was getting the color ready. Then I turn around and what looks like they’re filming content (owner & stylist) I lost it. I told the assistant I would be leaving, stylist apologized said she had the color ready I said no I have to be out by 6:30. I left the salon after waiting over an hour and 15 mins. This could have been handled many ways, 1st they should have called to reschedule, 2nd another stylist should have assisted there was plenty of staff, or 3 management should have reached out, apologized and offered a discount or offered a complimentary service. I took time off work to make it to my appointment and to have them not show any concern for my time is beyond disrespectful and unprofessional. Read moreI said I’d be back and I have now twice since my last review! I can’t stay away, I had a different stylist each time but every single person consistently produced results and exceeds expectations. Today, Janette cut my hair. First of all, she was so pretty, her hair and makeup were flawless, I knew I was in good hands. She did a fantastic job I’m over the moon about these fresh layer. I love how knowledgeable and attentive to detail she was!
2023: After 5 years living in az, search after search for “az long layers,” I FINALLY got the PERFECT 6 mo refresh cut! All of the stylists were beautiful and welcoming, loved the interior design and cleanliness. Especially appreciated Precious’ vibe and style, she got my hair RIGHT, explained the products and techniques, and the music and conversation while she worked was chill and relaxing.
Setting up the appointment and using the website was super easy. I received a text about suggested parking area on the morning of, which I found communicative and informative. Overall, happy with the experience!
