Here is my honest review: Before I went in, I read the reviews. The reviews were off-putting but I like to experience things for myself so I went against the negative reviews and walked inside.
Note: The place is kind of hard to find, especially with the parking blocks still showing a flower shop on it, so it threw me off a little. But I digress.
Once I walked inside, I saw a very intimate place with a few people. I honestly liked the fact that it wasn't overcrowded. The bartenders were very knowledgeable and attentive. I read reviews about them not being attentive but maybe it was very busy at that time, or maybe they didn't have enough staff. My suggestion is, if you see the staff is overwhelmed, be patient, or apply for a position đ€·đŸââïž
The drinks were very good. I tried two recommendations by the bartender/mixologist, and they did not disappoint. This place is more of a lounge. It is really chill. If you are looking for a place to "turn up", this may not be the place for you.
I read a review about the music skipping or cutting off. Again, if you are observant you would see they play music through their phones. If the signal goes out or they receive a message, it will affect the music. We all know that. Let's not ding them for something so small; I do have a recommendation though, to possibly stream music on the TV through an app like Pandora or anything else, so they won't have to use their personal phones. The music did cut off, like twice, but I understood why so it didn't bother me one bit.
The overall vibe was welcoming, chill, and reminiscent of this one bar I used to frequent where I felt comfortable and safe. I will definitely be back. I just think people need to be more understanding with "The Boom Boom Room". This place is dope. At least it is to me.
Again, this is NOT a place to "turn up". This is a place where you can go for a drink, listen to music, and actually still be able to have a conversation with whomever you are with.
That is my...
Read moreUpdate: Sharing my experience for other patrons and visitors I don't get out much, so maybe this is normal Paid 350 for the front section (my personal warning was having to chase them down to make sure my deposit was received) and waitstaff had issue with legs on the elongated seats. Not feet on the furniture, not falling asleep and setting up a bed - legs resting on the elongated furniture, designated for the section.
I look forward to when there's an incorporation of scotch guard & regular cleaning, to avoid misunderstandings in the future. I wont be in the city much longer and will still support this business. I was still very well taken care of for my birthday. Just wont be needing the section for any future occasions.
This experience deterred me from bringing my group + another friend back for a friendsgiving to try their mocktails. We'll be checking out an establishment downtown instead. Thank you Brooklyn, Gee & Ms Michelle. You were wonderful and this is an incredible bar. I had the best birthday ever, otherwiseđ
Original review- They have food trucks come thru now! Check their Instagram before you go. I brought a girlfriend here to celebrate her 2nd Masters Degree from GCU. Her and her husband enjoyed the vibe and we had such a great time catching up. I bring any and every one I can...
Read moreLet me start with the Boom Boom Room is an intimate spot that plays good music and has chill vibes. There is no food sold here, but the guest were allowed to bring food to her section.
Now⊠my biggest problem with the BBR was the bartender BRI. She was the most unprofessional, mean, bad attitude, that I have ever witnessed at an establishment and Iâm appalled by her behavior.
Bri was snappy when she was asked any questions often rolling her eyes and walking away while we were talking to her. Despite the guest tipping her very well, BRI continued being nasty all night.
My friend celebrated her 40th birthday there and looked sad the entire night. Her day was ruined bc of miscommunication on what was being charged and how the bartenders were to execute it.
The alcohol was watered down, like literally the Jack Daniels tasted like it was diluted with water. If you drink jack, you know itâs potent. A shot of it went down like a Snapple. I playfully mentioned it to Bri in which she responded âI donât know what you tasted no itâs not watered down!â she walked off rolling her eyes.
This is bad business, and I wonât return or recommend the spot if BRI is bartending there. The other two bartenders were nice; However I was so taken back by BRIâS attitude that I didnât get...
