Honestly the chicken seemed old and over cooked, we ordered the Enchiladas Suizas and Mole poblano. For the first dish chicken was to chewy and hard what really helped was the sauce to it. For the second dish pretty much the same story, does in fact have the poblano in it, but it was a little to strong. Veggies were in fact raw as well.
This is the second time we go there and not much has changed. Personally I wouldn’t even add the name of the other business to promote this new one. It wouldn’t benefit the primary restaurant.
As for the theme on the restaurant it is a bit confusing. In the outside we see it is mexican cuisine, the bar had much more effort when it comes to designing and decorating. Whatever is going at the bar should be included with the other tables (dinning area) chairs are a little too heavy. It seems to need a bit more decorating. Or at least nor having the dining area so plain, something is missing.
Now back to the food, i understand the sauces being prepped before hand to serve however the meat certainly needs to be cooked at the moment not just re-heated and dry to be served.
Servers were very nice and friendly. Beverages were actually natural and very balanced between the sweetness and the flavor, definitely no artificial flavors. Ac was a...
Read moreWe sat outside on the patio.. no misters. It’s like 115 out, no one is going to want to sit out there. We watched the bar tender make our drinks from the window (that doesn’t open like it was supposed to) he actually FORGOT to put alcohol in the drink! The couple sitting at the bar inside was laughing and he kept staring at the drink and didn’t know what to do. So instead of remaking it, he puts alcohol ONTOP of the drink. And he served it to us knowingly he messed up. The couple who saw him do it, came outside a few minutes later and said “wow we can’t believe he did that.” And they paid for our drinks! They were so sweet. We live in the neighborhood and we were hoping for a nice restaurant for the neighborhood. I was considering coming back but I just looked at the menu and it is $12 for a tres leche?? You can get them fresh for $4-8 bucks anywhere else. Hispanic food is known for having big portions, fair prices, and a great atmosphere. I hope this restaurant listens to all the feedback because after reading the reviews so many people are saying...
Read moreFinally, Cien Fuegos, the sister restaurant to Casa Corazon, a local favorite has opened its doors! What a lovely evening it was dining outside while listening to your grand opening live music. We were seated in the outside patio which is absolutely charming! Umbrella tables are surrounded by amazing handcrafted stone and wood walls, trees, lighting, and detailed landscaping. A water feature to come soon. My neighbors and I were greeted by friendly staff including the owners, which made the night more special. Homemade baked cornbread was brought to our table while we studied our menus. We started with fresh guacamole that was topped with a pop of pomegranates along with fresh baked chips. We all enjoyed along with a refreshing Margarita. We dined on delicious slow cooked seasoned pork, classic Chili Relleno, and tasty crunchy brisket tacos. Each dish served so beautifully. The Chile En Nogada is also simply mouth watering. Congratulations on your grand opening! We are lucky to have you in the...
