Oak Street Murals — Attraction in Phoenix

What was supposed to be a cool event and music was very disorganized... Many good artists and a few vendors and food, very overrated for what they advertised. They had a raffle, so we spent $20 and bought 10 tickets... We asked if we had to be present to win and we were told NO. So a few hours later I got a call that I had won, they asked me where I was and I told him 5 minutes away. They said ok and the wife and I left the restaurant, jumped in the car and rushed there... Not even a minute from being there I got a call back telling me that they made a mistake and that they didn't have a prize for me.. but in the background of the phone call you could hear them going, telling the crowd they had more. Not only they gave me a rush of happiness but just to take it away that quickly and ruining our night, since we left the restaurant and that couldn't be taken back. Basically the organizers of this event suck and just beware of things like this. I spoke to an attorney and he is going to look into it since it was an organized event,...

stumbled on this spot by accident and dang I'm glad we did. There’s just color and creativity everywhere, like every wall got it’s own story. We spent way more time than we planned just walkin up and down the street takin it all in. Some of the murals are wild, like straight up museum quality but out in the open.

Wasn’t even there for the fest but still saw a few artists painting live which was cool to watch. Whole place has a real chill vibe and feels like the community actually cares about the art. Def worth checkin out if you’re anywhere nearby, even just drivin by. Bring your camera or phone, you’ll wanna snap...

What an unexpected surprise! Just riding along minding my own first time I’ve been to Phoenix business and to my wide eyed amazement I happened upon the Oak Street Murals! Let me just say these “Artist” are very talented and if you’re ever in the area… it’s worth it to stop by and look. There was an artist there working in a new piece. They change so you’ll never know what this tourist attraction...
