Hayden Park — Attraction in Phoenix

Been here many times and fot the most part it is clean. This park has restrooms ( hopefully they will open them again) . There is a small playground for the kids and overgrown kids who are adults. It does have a few homeless people at night sleeping there but they are to sleep and the few Ice spoke with have been very nice. They also do not leave messes everywhere. Hayden park is not a big park but the grass is green, the awnings and tables are in tact. The youth center isn't open just yet but I'm sure it will be soon enough. This park is on the southside which honestly used to be really bad but they have cleaned it up pretty good and for the most part Hayden Park is neighborhood park that is in place for the those that live in the area. I would give a 4 but they still have a lot of work to do on getting rid of the homeless people and gangs and drugs. They have made a significantly huge improvement in this area recently. They have been monitoring the park more now and significantly upgrading it to a more of a family park you can actually take your kids there and feel safer now. The park is brand new! It's a beautiful and peaceful place, and it's big enough to have areas that stay that way even on soccer nights. I'd have given it 5 stars if the bathrooms weren't taken over by crackheads and junkies. Make sure your kids hit the bathroom before you get there and take it easy on the fluids. When they gotta go...
