Irishtown Park — Attraction in Piscataway Township

We used to live down the street from this park and never had any inclination to go there. Sometime in the past year or so, they completely redid the kids portion of the park, and our kids absolutely love it. There's a good mix of amusements for older and younger children including a special swing that allows you (or an older child) to swing at the same time as a toddler (bucket seat). They have a full size baseball field (looks like a huge infield), but signs say that you must have a permit to use the field. There's a basketball court, tennis courts and a roller...

It's nice there. Was recently renovated with all new equipment as well as the grounds. There is a swing set with various sizes swings, including a two-person swing for younger children and a partner to use. They have various playsets installed as well as monkey bars, a climbing net, a climbing rock, among other things I probably left out. The largest set has two slides as well. Nearby, there is a baseball field, basketball court, and tennis court. There's a small parking lot nearby the swings, as well as a larger lot near the fields and courts....

The park is great! There’s a decent sized parking lot. Plenty of people there at all times of the day and week. There are park benches surrounding the whole park. Great for parents to sit down, relax, but still keep an eye on their children. There are two main jungle gyms. There’s a small jungle gym geared more towards younger kids.
