New Szechuan Kitchen — Restaurant in Middlesex

I hate to write a negative review for this place, as the folks who run the restaurant are very nice. But the food is okay at best, and more importantly, they do not follow directions when you place an order online. They either ignore the directions altogether (e.g. asking that they use less sauce than usual results in your food drowning in sauce — see the attached photo and please note that some of the sauce was already discarded…) or you end up with half-cooked food. You just never know what you’re going to get. It’s a gamble every time. Perhaps the experience is better if you show up and order in person, but I would avoid placing an order online or via a delivery service (e.g. DoorDash etc.)....

New Szechuan Kitchen is a decent Chinese restaurant, though the food is a bit on the greasy side for my liking. The flavors are generally good, but I found the dishes to be a bit overly oily.

That said, I do prefer the Bound Brook location 1,000 times more than this one. The flavor and consistency at the Bound Brook spot is much better in my experience.

Overall, New Szechuan Kitchen is an average Chinese restaurant. The food is okay, but nothing particularly remarkable. If you're in the mood for some classic Chinese fare, it might be worth a try, but I'd recommend the Bound Brook location over this one if you...

Ok this Chinese place close to my shop and I think want to eat hunan chicken,I orde twice different days and first what I got it was a general tso’s chicken,I said alright my mistake because didn’t check my food,second time I checked and told Her this is not hunan chicken and she said it is,I showed her via GOOGLE what pos to be did and she said this is not hunan chicken when I ask back tell me what is it then,she freezes right away and dont say anything!!god damn chines people dont know what is own national food,ridiculous 😆😆😆this place...
