Moved in May 2023 hoping to start a family here but man oh man, I don’t write reviews but this definitely needs one because of how much of a disappointment this turned out to be. This place is all about looks! You will get lured in with the clubhouse and the amenities but for the actual homes, They are absolutely cheap. One, in our townhome we do not control the heat so there is barely any heat. Yes you will see the thermostat in your townhome and think you control the heat but that’s a lie and I don’t know about you but I think that is something that should be emphasized during the tour (is it just me?). You get the absolute bare minimum at night 65 and 68 during the day (so legally you can’t complain, I know they’re very smart) i will post pictures for a week with a time stamp so you guys can see what temperature we wake up to in the house and a picture in the afternoon (I have time today because when I think about it, even the employees would not want that to be their living situation.) I have called and mentioned that it was cold in our home and was rudely interrupted before finishing my sentence by the lady saying “ well it was warm over the weekend” so yes it doesn’t matter what day in December it is as long as it’s a warmer day you don’t deserve heat. I have a 3 month old and was told that I have to leave my space heater off for 2 hours in order for them to come check to see the problem. Ummm ma’m by then, my child will freeze. Oh yes while on my maternity leave with absolutely no one coming over, my daughter got sick because on top of the stress of being a first time mom, I’m trying to constantly manage her temperature so she can be comfortable . There is always a draft coming in through the windows so it feels colder (again because the walls are cheap. ) There is a mold issue that I was told that is my responsibility so I have to constantly keep drying my windows so mold doesn’t keep growing around the window sills. You can hear everything next door (but I can take that issue.
Also, there is no such thing warm water, it’s either freeze your hand off or burn it off. The only place we get lukewarm water is in the shower. Again with a newborn couldn’t even bathe my daughter in the sink like most freaking people. Honestly every time I think how this place has affected my daughter it truly pisses me off, my fiancé and I can take it as adults but to finish our lease while watching our daughter suffer in this townhome breaks my heart. So yes I’m currently writing this as I’m holding her on the couch and feeling the draft just coming through the window while constantly turning off and on our heater to keep it warm in here. (Lovely right?) It is currently 73 right now because the heater is on while the heaters that come with the house are ice cold to the touch.
I was hoping this place would be where we can grow our family for the next 2 -3 years while saving for our home as I was pregnant when we moved. But this was a huge disappointment! And the sad thing is they are going to keep...
Read moreI will not recommend this apartment complex to anyone! If you stay here, make sure you document all your conversations, emails with the apartment staff in writing as proof, or else it will be their word against yours!
I lived in this complex for 2 years and the bathroom tubs are old and very prone to wear and tear, even though I took good care of it and never used harsh chemicals on it to clean. The cheap paint they use to glaze (meant to last at least 10 years) wears off quickly no matter what you do. It’s convenient for them as they will get the glazing done for wear and tear by charging tenants unfairly. I approached the maintenance and office team in November to fix it and I was given a $225 charge for tub peeling and window sill (same paint/glaze)-150 for tub, 75 for window sill. However, now my move out charges include $450 for the whole bathroom tub, apparently now walls and tiles have been added, for a full remodification. When I asked for details, they were hesitant to show pics of the inspection and kept insisting that the $225 was only for the tub peeling and not for the window sill. When I asked them for the original quote, they said they don’t have it and apparently quoted me back then based on their experience with the vendor. In my correspondence with one of the staff members, I was told the $225 charge would remain whether I were to get it fixed then or when I moved out (same charge!), but now I have to pay for the whole reglazing and modification of the bathroom. It’s crazy, how it is suddenly double the charge, and FYI it doesn’t matter what extent of the damage is from your use, they will fraudulently charge you as they want the apt to be presented to the next tenant and tell you that is what it is Please document and save all your proof so you are not scammed. They work as a team and work together on these things. I must note that there was one person in the office staff who was willing to properly explain the charges and felt like she sympathized with me when I went to the office to ask details about the charges and such. Just beware of this team in general.
I took care of the apt as best as I could, but just know that whatever you do, they will scam you.
Ever since I moved into the complex, I have also noted safety concerns living here. Be cautious living here especially with your families.
Also, please review all monthly bills and charges carefully, I have had experience in extra/double charges which I had to rectify a few times with the office...
Read moreUpdate 2023: for the most part I still enjoy living here, but recently I’ve had a major issue with feeling all the movement in the apartment below me. No idea why with the new neighbors I feel any vibration of the adults walking or kids running but it’s insane and makes it incredibly difficult to relax after coming home from work. Something wrong with the construction of the buildings? Who knows! Just find it ridiculous considering I’m on the top floor and feel all the vibrations of movement from the bottom apartment.
I’ve lived here for a few years now. Sara in the office has always been the one that I go to with questions or concerns. When she is in the office, she is always quick with a reply and either helps me herself or puts me in contact with who can help me instead. She’s definitely a huge help, and I will continue to contact her when I need help. Damaris in the front office is also very wonderful. Anytime I go into the building, she is always there at the front desk and is extremely friendly with wanting to help or simply having a conversation.
The only thing I’ve had problems with is when I needed to reschedule the yearly exterminator check. The first time, I needed to reschedule it and I was told the new date was confirmed, however, I later found out they came to my apartment on the original date which I did not approve. I was not happy because I left my cat there and I didn’t want her there alone not knowing what the exterminators used/sprayed (which the office knew because that’s why I wanted to reschedule). The second time which was the following year, I had my parents come to be in my apartment for the appointment so they could keep an eye on my cat. I was told again that they scheduled me for the first appointment for the day since I was having my parents drive up just for this while I was at work. I later found out from my parents that they did not come first thing in the morning and that when they finally called the office, they did not know anything about me being the first appointment. They finally ended up coming hours later in the day. Definitely some major communication issues with whoever takes care of all of that!
But otherwise, I definitely enjoy living here. I have never had any...
