I am a fan of Big Ten Football, but I am ultimately not a Rutgers fan whatsoever, as I am a Michigan fan in terms of that of my favorite Big Ten team.
Recently, though, I was in the Eastern United States Coast for a weekend visit and decided to pay a visit to SHI Stadium, one of the most historic college football stadiums in North America. This stadium, though, was not the site of the first collegiate football contest that commenced in 1869, as that is located 4 miles away near the main campus, in which that site is now just pavement.
Unfortunately, I was not able to get into said stadium, as it was closed due to there not being any ongoing events, and also because it was the Rutgers Football Team's offseason. Fortunately, though, I was able to get some perspective shots of that of the stadium's outside and was also able to get an image of the stadium Concourse and an entrance to the seats on the 100 level.
Hopefully, I will return back to this stadium in the future for an actual Rutgers football contest so I can experience the stadium during...
Read moreCame here for the Ohio State football game. The stadium is nice overall for a college football game. Seating was bench style with a pad and back brace available for rent. Bathroom lines were a bit long, even when it wasn't half time or between quarters or TV time out. Parking was a bit rough, but the shuttle bus service they have is good as long as you are not using it just before or just after a football game. Food was also a bit of a wait and one of the Jersey Mike's sandwich booths ran out of sandwiches in the 2nd quarter, so we had to eat pop corn and sour patch kids for lunch. The one super annoying thing with our seats (Section 115) is the TRAIN HORN pointing directly down at the section that goes off every 5 minutes. Yes I get it, loud noises make the fans go crazy, but point the horn up. It literally points directly at the section and if you have any sort of issue with ear blasting noise, don't sit in...
Read moreI don't hate it which is what 1 star means, the staff of Rutgers wasn't welcoming,I drive a school bus part-time and I had to continually prove that I drove a school bus With a football team that played that night and I still got questioned "who are you and what are you doing here?" I drove a bus to MetLife stadium and at least the New Jersey State Police was courteous and nice to me,there was no bad attitude at MetLife stadium. I didn't mention I'm a minority and because of my Jewish Yamicah✡️ and dark skin I wasn't treated with respect,if I was staff from the football team or a football player I would be treated like Gold. Thank you for reading who ever is reading,I hope anybody has a better experience, Shalom ✡️ to the reader and the...
