We have been to the Sapphire Salon a few times, and were excited to book a girls-weekend Spa Day to celebrate our birthdays. The Salon called the day before to see if we could come in earlier, this was totally fine. We arrived at 9 AM and had amazing massages and facials. We spent some time in the sauna. It was wonderful!
Around 11:30 we were served our lunch, and things came a bit unhinged. We were left alone for over an hour. We had to search for staff when we found not only M&Ms in our salads, but also a large chunk of plastic and what looked suspiciously like blood. We were no longer hungry but the owner insisted on getting us new lunches. However, we had lost our appetites and just wanted to get on with our spa day. The lunches were replaced but were not wanted nor were they any better than the salads. I am gluten free, and my friend is a vegetarian, so getting chicken salad wraps didn't work for us, plus we found an ice cube in her wrap when she bit into it. At this point we were ready to just call it a day. Since we had been left alone again for over 30 minutes we decided to leave. When we went to check out and cancel the rest of our visit, we were told that they wouldn't be able to refund us for the missed pedicure, shampoo/blow out, and perfume. It would be another hour until our pedicures and it was now closing in on 2 PM. We had been there since 9 (came in early, remember), and were only expecting to be there 4.5 hours. The owner pulled people off their lunch breaks so that we could get our pedicures and hair done before 2 PM, which I feel horrible about. These services were nice and I am sure if there wasn't a 3 hour wait between lunch and our pedicures we would have had a much more enjoyable time. By the time we got to our hair appointments we were hungry, tired, and just wanted to be home. At check out, I was pressured to leave a 20% tip for the services received. The lunches were comped, as they should have been.
TL;DR: We were waiting almost 3 hours between our services, left alone in a hallway with no information about when they would come get us for our pedicures, and served what we suspect to be gas station cuisine from next door. The services are nice but the customer service and scheduling need work. If you book a spa day we recommend you skip the lunch (there are plenty of restaurants nearby) and...
   Read moreI had services scheduled with Amanda. “Absolutely phenomenal she is.” I was scheduled for a cut. Let’s just say I called same same day and added highlights. They didn’t extend appointment time nor ask if I wanted partial or full head to give her an appropriate time window. During my cut and highlight Amanda remained focused, pleasant, and jumped right into what I was asking for. While in the foiling process co workers and management came over not once not twice not three times or four asking her if she was almost done. A full head and cut takes time. Adding stress to this poor woman that you can see she was trying so hard not to show because she technically was still new. When finished I was absolutely pleased with the outcome despite how ignorant management was. When leaving I scheduled a Brazilian blowout with Amanda for the following Monday. Letting them know I drive for Fedex and my shifts vary so I’d let them know about appointment time. The day of appointment I got a call asking where I was when I was in the parking lot. Already displeased with my previous experience with some staff I decided to cancel because the gentleman on the phone was arrogant about questioning and then proceeded to be arrogant upon a different date. I decided to take my services elsewhere. I went back to sapphire and questioned what shampoo they would recommend for the 225$ karatin treatment I got on my hair. “They recommended sulfate free along with any other establishment because sulfate will strip the treatment” I bought the Brazilian blowout they recommended to have a back up because they also told me I could use the goldwell karasilk color that I purchased the week prior. I used the goldwell ONCE after trusting their recommendation, hair still wet I could feel the dryness it gave my hair! Instantly looked up online if I could ACTUALLY use this product and sure enough you CANT! I believe it’s the 3rd ingredient in the bottle, SOLFATE! I called and explained Situation to front desk whom said she recorded all information and assured I’d get a call back. Have yet to hear a word a week and a half later.    Read moreMy girl friend as one of my Christmas Presents subscribe to a Couples Massage at this location. She scheduled it for Saturday Jan 24th at 3:45, when she made the appointment she had asked if we could use the "Quiet Room" after the massage for some snacks and refreshments. OK....massage completed we are told the spa is closed and the quiet room not an option. When the appointment was made and UPON our arrival when we checked in, it was not made known to us that we wouldn't have use of the quiet room. They even took our bag of goodies and put it in the kitchen but never mentioned we any thing about closing at 5PM or not having use of the quiet room.( Shame on us for not checking, but still!!!!????) Now thinking that the couples massage was purchased on their website, and our appointment confirmed, that all was well and good.....Ohhhhh no, we are walking out and approached by the owner Angie and told we need to pay up for service rendered. We explained to Angie that we purchased the services on the website and had already paid. NOPE! Angie says that her Spa's website doesn't have the capability to make internet purchases. A not so kind verbal exchange takes place between my girl friend and Angie, the not so kind part coming from Angie. Angie was rude, condescending, extremely arrogant, and just down right nasty. Her people skills on a scale of 1 to 10 would be at about -5. I wish her luck with the business as she will need boat loads of it if she decides to continue. She really needs to reflect on how she interacts with people. From my point of view it wasn't pretty, not to mention very', very angering to be treated as a thiefs, knowing that we weren't.
