Attending the Florida Strawberry Festival on Special Needs Day was a truly memorable experience. The organizers went above and beyond to create an inclusive, comfortable, and joyful atmosphere for individuals with special needs and their families.
From the moment we arrived, the staff and volunteers demonstrated warmth and attentiveness, ensuring that everyone felt welcome. The designated sensory-friendly areas were a thoughtful addition, providing a quiet space for those who needed a break from the excitement. The reduced crowds and minimized noise levels made it a stress-free environment, allowing attendees to enjoy the festivities at their own pace.
The festival offered a fantastic variety of rides, games, and entertainment, with accessible options for all abilities. Ride operators were patient and understanding, ensuring every guest had a safe and enjoyable time. Additionally, the agricultural exhibits and strawberry-themed treats were a hit, adding to the wholesome, family-friendly atmosphere.
A standout aspect was the sense of community. It was heartening to see families and individuals from diverse backgrounds coming together to celebrate in a supportive environment. The thoughtful accommodations and genuine care shown by the event organizers made a significant impact.

We got there by 9am to park and there were people there just like us. There was a line to check in your online/printed tickets. But we got in line at exactly 10am so there was no wait for us. And for parking we paid $10. And pizza was $8 a slice. Make sure to double check where you park it can get very crowded as your heading out we had to use the map but we figured it out and found...
Read more$185 for 5 kids for arm bands on top of $76 entrance. The 11 year old was too tall to ride the one and only ride that looked appealing to her. It was the green course that has a bridge. Then all the kids wanted to ride the big ferris wheel. Separate charge above the armband. All other rides were geared for 6 year olds. If I’m gonna waste money then others need to know the best way to do it. No rides were ridden this day. Two French fries and 3 chicken strips = $21. $40 for 4 shakes. $20 for pieces of ribs. The only great experience was the Colossal onion from Alessi’s. Oh, and parking was all private lots. The one we pulled into was $30. In all it was over $375 for this single trip not counting 3/4 tank of gas. In summation: Yes, kids are expensive but where are the rides? What’s the armbands for? Could’ve saved $185. Was expecting to pay parking. Expecting to pay high...
