Food, SERVICE, and ambiance. Those are the three factors we look for when rating. Sometimes they float around. One factor being at the top and another suffers... A Good restaurant holds all three of these steady while trying to strengthen or improve them.
ABC - FOOD is their strong point. Often the other two factors suffer GREATLY. Outside of an item being made incorrectly, the quality is consistent. Some items I would not order again (based on my preferences) while others, I'd eat every day.
Ambiance: it is relatively clean in here. Some things need attention. However the biggest issue is that the customers wait and struggle to get seated. You'll see these pitifully old couples struggling to stay standing while there are open seating. Yes, there are factors of False Waits, not swarming the kitchen with orders... But that is not what's happening here. The servers are running the show, management not to be seen. No direction. No assistance.... THAT'S why I place this in the Ambiance factor.
SERVICE here is a struggle. That is being nice. Maybe these ladies know how to good servers but are struggling to work as a team. Maybe they have no clue. Certainly not getting any support. You'll stand, with no soul being seated, and watch them struggle with their one or two tables; running into the back & forth maybe to make a salad, fill a dressing or get a drink.... IGNORING people for long stretches of time.
Getting seated in this restaurant is a battle.
Today my server had zero tables. I stood there for 6 and 1/2 minutes. (Btw... Counted 5 people in the back talking and eating) She finally sat me. Before coming back to my table (which she probably Steps of Service would say that she should have gotten my drink order)...she continued to do her SECTION WORK!!! Filling parmesan, etc. So was 10 minutes before being properly greeted and in place in my drink order.
It's down hill from there. 😞
If Plant City ABC Management reads this...
Just because your location pretty much guarantees you clientele does not mean that you get to mistreat them consistently. It's sad that you don't realize you have a problem. I have to say that it probably stems from lack of structure. This location should be so much more.
Signed A sad patron who...
Read moreFirst of all let me start by saying that I am not, nor have I ever been, a complainer or the type to post a review. This will be my first ever. I too work in a customer service environment, not a restaurant, but customer service is customer service. I know how some people can just post reviews to get at a company and so on and so forth. However when the situation is called for, such as in this instance, I have no problem letting everybody and their mother know just how soooorrrryyyyy this restaurant is. I can only speak in regards to the Plant City location because that is the location I choose to dine with. Every experience...and I mean EVERY experience...that I have with them is absolutely 100% terrible. The staff there is the worst bunch of people ever to grace the premises of any restaurant I have ever been to in my entire life. All of them (and I'm not exaggerating) are grumpy, attitude ridden and extremely careless about the service they are rendering. It seems to me, judging by the rest of the reviews, that not even the managers are willing to correct anything wronged or even remotely please their customers due to the rudeness and mistakes of their poorly chosen staff. I am astonished that they are even still in operation honestly. The only thing positive that I can say about them, which is probably the only reason why all of them still even have a job, is that their Greek Salad is to die for. That is the sole reason for their existence. Also...a little side note, which is also my drive and frustration behind having even written this post...don't ask for extra dressing without knowing the fact that they will jack your bill up a ridiculous amount without your knowing. I had called back to ask about the raise in price and she explained that the extra dressings ordered were $1.25 for each tiny little container. We had order several extra dressings, mind you. I ask her "Don't you think that they (the people who take your order) should let the customer know about that." She replied with, "Well its not on our menu buutttt....." then nothing. Absolutely absurd! If I could have posted this without selecting even one star I would have. They aren't even...
Read moreWe have been going to this restaurant for many years. And always enjoyed the food and staff. But our last two experiences have really changed our opinion of both. On both instances the food was very inconsistent and the wait staff very inattentive. Last night was the final straw that broke the camel's back for me and my family. Our waitress seemed to careless about us and the other patron's sitting near us. She actually completely forgot to bring numerous food items and drinks to our table. And when I finally did ask her about those food item's, she gave me a really rude look then checked the entire table to see if she had brought them. Like I was lying, about it. When it was obvious she had not brought them out, her only remark was I will pack them to go. She never once came back to our table to see if we needed anything else. Once more leaving out the drink order completely. Two other tables also made comments of how both the food and staff had changed. Also having to leave their table and food to request item's not brought to their tables..And when we went to pay, and commented about how these things had been left and not brought to our table. Instead of removing these item's, we got treated like it was us that was out of line. If we had wanted our food to go, we would have ordered it to go. Very disappointed that it seem's this place has started to take a down hill path. By the way we had the same waitress for both our visit's. Last night was the second chance we had given this place, and will not continue to...
