Pleasanton Gateway Shopping Center — Attraction in Pleasanton

Bernal Safeway, lots of places outside to visit including TWO Starbucks... Even a guy can get his haircut so close to work and have lunch breakfast and dinner in the same plaza and charge up the car! Yes, Safeway has their 24hr (most of the time) Fuel Station. Everything is here! Even a bike shop for runs on Pleasanton Ridge for the w/e's. Bagels in the a.m., Corner bakery later on for breakfast, burn that off then back for lunch at the fire grilled habitual Hamburger stop. Sit by the Fireplace in the winter in the early evenings. Exit out the s/e exit to avoid the nightmare of in 's and outs on Bernal main entrance. Starbucks drive through, if as if you haven't already been there. Two Banks, I use a Credit Union, no ATM fees for me! CVS moved in and killed the line at Safeway's Pharmacy...TWENTY FOUR HOURS Is Safeway and not much else after the gong rings 12 at night. But Subway and chinese fast food of SALT & SUGAR, never review them...stays open later and Fri/Sat for Corner as well. Even Baja Fresh in the corner next to Mike's Bikes. This Safeway is HUGE and is cleanest around, have more than other stores for SPECIALITY Items and foreign food section is larger as well. Great Customer Service. They don't leave you standing up their like BOTH the Dub. Blvd Stores for days. Rude. NOT HERE! Almost like the Gigantic Store on 1st Ave. in Livermore with the Wine Vault. Great place to come to ,...but only four stars due to people having to live and pay high dollar 950K to buy a home they have to stay inside as the freeway Pollution and Carbon bits that land on your cars you certainly don't want your new baby nor kids outside sucking in all that in their young lungs nor yourself for that matter. NASTY. Yes, walkable from the apts also to the Plaza, right there , but who wanted to bring in Boston to Pleasanton, right ??? Silly, this is Northern California. Nice...

This shopping center is okay I guess. It used to have a fully functional safeway gas station in it which made it worth visiting but for some reason this has changed and the area that used to be a gas station has been sectioned off for What looks like a possible remodel or removal. This wouldn't be a big deal if there had been any developments in this project at all in the past months but I haven't seen any for what feels like the entire last year or more.. I never really visited any of the other stores in this shopping center out of pure lack of need. Tonight I had no choice but to stop there to run into safeway real fast and by the time I came out and got into my car, there was already a police suv driving through the parking lot. This is no surprise to me since I can honestly say every single time I go to this place there is always at least one (usually more) cops creeping around looking for someone to harass.

Great location, great shops. Everything that I needed within walking distance from each other. This is where my family and I meet at if I'm picking up my kids from a specific family member from Stockton to Sunnyvale CA. The only problem, racial profiling from the police. And it has happened 4x's to me and my family. The last 2x's, the police officer didn't leave until we did. Watched everything that we were doing and who we were talking to(3cars, 2 including mine, all family). If this wasn't a great spot for my family and I to meet, I wouldn't even get off the freeway!
