My husband and I just recently moved to this area and are looking for some antique pieces to decorate our new home. As we were walking though we noticed that two people were following us and then I heard someone go over loud speaker “we are closing in 10 minutes.” My husband conversationally turned to the lady who was following us and said “are you guys about to close?” And she said “yes we close at 5.” He said “ok, cool we’ve got 7 minutes.” And she said “always gotta be a jokester.” And then she turned to her coworker and started complaining about how they close at 5. So I turned around and said “excuse me? Is there something wrong?” She then stormed passed me and hit her lunch box on the wall and said “your boyfriend wouldn’t be saying stuff about closing if he was the one who wanted to leave!!” I said to her he didn’t know and was just asking a question. She then got even more upset and kept saying more things. I would not recommend this place to anyone. To be treated so poorly over 7 minutes is really pathetic. If she hates her job so much maybe she should find new work. She obviously hates her job because she wanted to leave before it even closes and was horrible to potential customers. We will never be back and will surely tell anyone we meet about...
Read moreReviewing after my third visit there. In the past it's been a great experience coming here! Helpful staff and a lot of options to choose from with each vendor.
This past visit was very different. The building and vendor spaces are still there, but the soul and quality of service and merchandise were so much WORSE. I haven't visited since before the pandemic, so I'm going to assume that the majority of the friendly staff either retired or moved on. Only two staff members seemed attentive and willing to help. Everyone else was ornery and acted like they couldn't be bothered or like they were too good to actually do what they were hired to do.
The one old blonde woman working the register on November 12, 2022 was more attentive to certain types of customers and very rude to others, myself included in the latter group. This is extremely unacceptable and it would be best to have a discussion with her about diversity sensitivity or to give her severance so she can go retire down to Florida.
I would recommend visiting at least once if you find yourself in the area. But you're likely to only find rooms of repeated Christmas themed trinkets, buffalo nickels and questionable racial...
Read moreIt was the first time I've ever been there because I was looking to sell some antiques. I asked the elderly gentleman at the front desk if they buy antiques and he said the dealers would. So I went out to the truck to bring my wares in and found a stall that had the same type of things I was looking to sell. I stood there for about 15 minutes waiting for the dealer of the stall, or any dealer really, browsed a bit and made a mental note of what I was going to buy with my proceeds. The gentleman I had spoken to earlier came up to me and said alright my time is up and I had a chance, please get out. I told him I hadn't spoken with the dealer I was waiting for, could I at least take a lap? He said no we don't do that, what you're doing right now walking around with stuff, we go to wholesalers. The dealers won't be interested. Now get out. Well thank you sir for making me feel unwanted and basically persecuted. I'm sorry I have never set foot in that store before, but I'm not sorry that I never will again, no matter how much I...
