The Shoppes at American Candle — Attraction in Pocono Township

CANDLES ARE DANGEROUS AND CATCH FIRE BLOWING UP WITHIN THE GLASS JARS. BE CAREFUL!!!!

I had bought a couple candles from the american candle factory and loved the way they burned. It was about 1/2 inch from the bottom of the jar when I lit it. I was sitting with my fiancé on our couch a few feet away from the dresser where we burn our candles and display pictures and decorations. Suddenly, we heard a loud pop and turned around to see our dresser with a ball of flames upon it and glass shattered all over the floor. The candle actually bursted and glass and wax residue was splattered all over the floor and dresser while the base of the candle sat on fire. Luckily we were able to put the fire out, and the dresser only had slight damage from fire. I wanted to bring it to your attention that the entire base of the candle, within the little glass that was left, was burning the "wax" or "oils" left in the bottom of the glass. This concerns me because the actual liquid was what had been on fire. I just want to bring this to your attention so it doesn't happen to anyone else. If we had gone upstairs to go to the bathroom or left the room for just a split second it could have been much worse. I always burn candles I know how to properly trim their wicks and how to care for them, and I've never had this happen before. I contacted them and they have yet to contact me. I looked at the reviews and see that clearly this has happened before. Its obvious that they made their candles the wrong way and hazardous. please be cautious and DONT BUY...

So a belated birthday getaway with my baby sister turned into a delightful discovery. First of all the customer service is FIRST CLASS, from Kelly whom I had the pleasure to speak over the phone with after booking with a 3rd party. She saw my reservation and was very helpful informing me of what options I had for an upgrade once I arrive to check in. To Barbara who check us in and out always with a smile and kind words She told us the restaurant food was really good, no lies there it was. As was the service, portion servings and attention to details, my water glass was never empty. We had the rack of lamb and the salmon. The breakfast buffet was was more than adequate hitting all the right spots, to many to list. However I would like to say that due to the fact that I don't eat pork, I could not partake in any breakfast meats, just wonder if we could get some turkey or chicken in there along with the pork The grounds are lovely, Lovely views from the balcony Oh!! almost forgot the price of the buffet was fair and you get your money worth in today's market.(inflation and all) I enjoyed the pool and sauna. As we were checking out I noticed that they had started prepping for the opening of their outdoor pool area another plus. No doubt the Hotel is a bit dated however, if your looking to relax, spend time with some love ones or simply woosah please go pay them a visit. This is more of a review of the jar candles I ordered online. First, I absolutely loved the fragrances of all the candles, but the problem was, I couldn't smell them that well. I'm used to Yankee Candle, and a little bit less scent would be fine, but this is so faint I can hardly smell it unless I put my nose right near the jar. I love the scents, and it would truly warm my heart if you could add more fragrance to these lovely candles. My favorite is the strawberry, followed by the mulberry, the Macintosh apple, the apple spice, and the mulled cider. I would also love to see you put out a peppermint one. The only reason I'm not planning another order at this time is because I'm disappointed in the lack of fragrance. Please add more fragrance to these and I will be very pleased and will order many more! Is there a way you can do a special order for me with more...
