May 28, 2021 was our first visit to Ponce Inlet Dog Beach!

We had a great time! It does cost $10 to get into the park, and parking is pretty easy! It's not a long walk from parking to the beach front and there's trash cans and dog poop bags as well! We got to the beach about 2pm and it wasn't very crowded. Once we paid $10 for entry, you drive about a quarter of a mile down then there's parking by entrances to the beach. We chose the one that is straight ahead at the end of the road, parked on the side of the road and the walk to the beach takes only about 5 mins! The water was cool and clear, the other owners had their dogs on leashes, the sand isn't full of shells or anything either so it was easy to get comfortable and lay down without being stabbed by stuff ๐Ÿ˜‚

The reason I'm giving it 4 stars and not 5, is (unless the one entrance to the beach we used didn't have it) we didn't see any rinsing or dog washing stations :( which after swimming and the sand, we could have really used. We all were sticky from salt water which made us take probably half the beach sand back with us ๐Ÿ˜‚

So unless we totally missed the spot for it, we didn't see any rinsing stations for humans or dogs๐Ÿ˜‚

But other than that, we had...

I dont know why they it's a dog park if dogs cant be off leashes. Also there is fishing everywhere which isnt save or eco friendly. Super small where the light house is. Its split into two sides, the light house side is small and nothing to do but walk down and up the strip of rocks. The other side with wooden docks. And multiple entrances is really nice but the rules again make no darn sense. Only old angry people who hate life work there. An old man followed me on his truck the entire time. I let my dogs go in an area where no one was and he speed over to me, uncomfortably close, threatened to kick me out and then proceeded to watch my every move on his green gold cart. Maybe a cool.place for going on a boat but dog park not so much. Unfortunate. Wish they would operate the area like a REGULAR DDDDOOOOGGGG PARK, and not some buisness to just get people to walk around and get harassed for everything. I was not the only one approached, I saw him yelling at other too. Unfortunately this area has too many angry old people who attend this place. Needs major re-evaluations cause I traveled over an hour for the dog park only to be...

I hate that I cannot get an annual pass ( I don't live in Volusia County, let me pay extra for being a Lake County resident ) paying 10$ a visit gets pricy after a while... BUT nonetheless, I love this place. Gets packed very fast.. I also hate that some folks cannot keep their pets on a leash... I know it sucks, and I'm sure your dog is friendly and sweet.. So are mine But having your pet on a leash is not only for your dogs safety but everyone and their dogs safety too! When are they going to open the jetty??? I always have a good time here, and the pups all love coming here because there arent many "Waves" just a wake from passing boats/jet skis. I wish they had more showers (with the hose on it ) so multiple people could wash off their dogs instead of everyone waiting on one... Maybe even a separate one for dogs only would be great, because all the humans and dogs all trying to use 2 showers isnt too fun LOL. Sand is not the best to "play in" in my opinion for kids. Not like OBC or Wilbur beach sand. Overall, great place to come, with our...

We absolutely loved our visit to Ponce Inlet Dog Beach! ๐Ÿพ The beach is beautiful, clean, and welcoming for both people and pups. Our dogs had the best time running along the shoreline, splashing in the water, and meeting other friendly dogs. The atmosphere was relaxed and family-friendly, with plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the day. The water was clear, the sand was soft, and it truly felt like a little slice of paradise for dog lovers. Itโ€™s such a joy to find a beach that not only allows dogs but makes them feel right at home. We canโ€™t wait to come back again and make this one of our regular spots. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect outing with their four-legged best friend! ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿถโค๏ธ

My furkids love it here. Not much beach to enjoy... would be nice to be able to have them on the entire shoreline of the park. But we make do with what we've got. And they dont know the difference, so it works well enough. Nice place for a little adventure. Little tiny bit. The charge to get in (while increasing yearly) isnt terrible. It's a fairly decent space for what you're charged. Always clean, with decently polite staff, and a grassy walking area for people and pups who may not want to dive in the sand and the ocean. Also lined with picnic tables and barbeques. It's nice to have access to the inlet beaches, and the short cluster of walking trails and boardwalks.
