Lighthouse Ice Cream & Snacks — Restaurant in Ponce Inlet

An incredibly disappointing experience. I was there back in august of 2022 and am piggybacking off another post as I had a similar experience. I went with the intent of having some dope ice cream and was met with the silent treatment and teenage angst. I got there 30 minutes before closing and was not spoken too as I was at the window. The employees met my gaze multiple times and ignored me. If they were to just tell me that they were closed and the website was incorrect I would have gone about my night without much thought. Apparently social skills don’t exist to employees here and can’t open their mouth to let people know that they are closed. At one point I was told to “get out of the way” as I was standing next to a sign they needed to pack up. The young man that was working between 5:30 & 6 on Feb 18, 2023 was in far over his head. And sadly he was working alone. There were only 2 cars in the lot, including ours, and we waited for well over 30 minutes for some very basic items for 3 people. The very expensive milk shake was pouring down the sides of the cup when he handed it to my wife. It was almost pure milk, like no ice cream had been added or it hadn’t been mixed. I'm biased as I'm related to the owners. However, It is so great to have this place at Ponce Inlet! There are so many reasons to visit Ponce Inlet area, from the Lighthouse Point State Park, the Lighthouse, Drive Free beaches, Boat rentals, Kayak rentals, Eco Dolphin and Manatee tours, Marine Science Center the list goes on and on what you can do in Ponce Inlet.
