1.20.23 Glad we went back today. We were so Disappointed last time. But this time it wasn't crowded. Our server was Steve and he was SUCH a wonderful server. Very attentive to us. Especially regarding being gluten free. A huge help. Thank you Steve!! The cook came out to check on something I ordered to make sure it was ok. Then the manager came to check on us. The weather was perfect. The food was really good. Had Nachos and then had the steamed seafood dinner. Yum! No complaints at all this time. Steve thanks again for making our dinner so pleasant.
Another visit..April 2022... (Year l9448 2679 6298ater) Was ok. But but not great.... Think we are done going there. Food nothing special. Server nice but hard to get a hold of. Sat not on the pier but by the bar even though I protested. So loud you couldn't talk. Ants running all over the table. Bathroom gross. I used to love this place but will not be going back.
Ok.. Revised... Back yesterday took Dad with who is 90... And his friend. But I have Celiac's .. Not by choice do I eat gluten free..I have to eat GF or get extremely ill. I hate it and hate to have to talk to the server about it like I am SO Special.. It's not fun for me because I am not as person who is an attention grabber. It bothers me to be singled out. So we sit down at this place and as usual I tell the wait person, Nicolee,..when she walks up I have Celiac's and need to eat gluten free. Right away she gets hostile toward me and starts giving me grief about it. All I Asked is if she'd point out a few things I could get that were gluten free.... She had a mask on so I probably stared at her a minute to determine if she was kidding with me or what... Couldn't determine it from the tone of her voice. I was like... What???? Surprised at the way Nicolee was talking to me. My husband says just order your drink for now... Said I thought I remembered a drink from last time I was there... Asked is they had it and she started on me again... "Well you remember a drink that we have.. you would think you remember what you can eat here that is gluten free...". I laughed it off because my Dad was sitting there with us. First meal he'd had eating out in well over a year... And we had driven 2 hours to bring him to this restaurant.. This was to celebrate his 90th birthday which we missed because of Covid. Well now he was refusing to order anything to eat... Thanks a lot wait person Nicolee!!! Way to make sure to ruin people loving the place where you are working. So I found something to order tried to ask her to please make sure it was gf.. That I have Celiac's... She's well how do you spell that.. With an 's'...I tell her just write gluten free on the ticket... After telling her how to spell Celiac... She just wrote gluten... It was all pretty screwed up... I mean really... You want a job...a successful business in the food industry... You would think they would teach their employees about food sensitivities since a vast amount of people have some sort of sensitivities. Just saying after driving 2 hours to get to this place then waiting 30 minutes to get a table.... If not for that...I would have just said skip it and left. And you know what... They wouldn't have cared less about it.... It's the day after and it is Still on my mind.... But I paid the bill. And that's all they care about. Nicolee I left you a good tip anyway.... Because I know your job can be a hard one... But I don't think you should take it out on the unsuspecting customer.
Old review is below... So much for the nice staff I mentioned a year ago.... But they are gone now.
Really liked this place, they also did great with the Gluten free options. Also a very casual. Sat by the water and watch Pelicans take their breaks on the poles sticking out of the water. Food a tad slow, but very tasty. Prices were pretty good. Will go back when in the area again....
Read moreI researched this restaurant before Spring Break and was looking really forward to this cool little place based on all of the great reviews and prices. It was an amazing atmosphere; unfortunately, the food wasnt very good. Aesthetically, the plates looked fine. They were out of scallops, out of seafood boil in foil, out of green shell mussels and top neck clams, out of veggie burger, out of celery for wings (or coleslaw substitute) and out of large size take home boxes. My 17 yo daughter had boneless wings and carrots, which she said was good. My 13 yo daughter had chicken tenders and fries, which she said was "ok" on chicken, but not the fries. I ordered fried cod, asking if the mac-n-cheese or cole slaw was very good. Waitress has never had either in the 5 years working there. The batter on the cod was alright. I did enjoy the fish once I removed some of the coating. Mac-n-cheese and Cole slaw were fairly bland. My sister ordered cod tacos with cilantro cream sauce and a basket of hush puppies. It was sour cream, not cilantro cream sauce. She asked about the cilantro cream not being tinged green and having no cilantro flavor at all. The waitress said, "it's basically sour cream with some cilantro in it, but not a lot." There was NO cilantro whatsoever. If the white substance contained even small green granules- that would have been different; however, this was straight up solid white. My sister left it alone and didnt say anything further. The house made chips were very bland and seemed unsalted. The hush puppies contained corn; yet, seemed a little bland. Possibly, it was an off day in the kitchen- I don't know; however, I do know the employee (watched him walk into kitchen area) inside the windowless restaurant dropping a loud f-bomb made the older lady at the table next to us whip her head around pretty quickly. I also found this extremely unprofessional. I hate leaving a not so great review, but feel I...
Read moreBeen to eat here often and the food is amazing and the view is even better!! However if you have children or don’t want to hear the most disgusting and vile inappropriate things from the bartender then stay away! I tend to eat at tables but every now and then sit at the bar after being on the water all day and the tall blonde bartender this weekend has the nastiest attitude and is constantly being vulgar towards staff and guests alike! Complaining to people sitting at her bar about other coworkers? How unprofessional can you be? They call it the “booty bar” and it makes sense why she is over there considering the extremely provocative topics she thinks is appropriate for work. Can’t even smile or pretend she enjoys working at such an amazing and beautiful job! I would never want my kids around anything she was discussing with GUESTS! I get it girl but what you do at home needs to stay at home not come with you to a place that describes themselves at a family restaurant. I felt very uncomfortable and unwelcomed as she kept saying over and over how she didn’t want to be there and wanted to go home to multiple people. Seriously debated making this but ultimately i believe this is totally inappropriate behavior regardless if you are at a bar. If I wanted to hear all about things you could or have done I would sit at a grimy dive bar not come to quiet ponce inlet!! Hopefully you fix whatever is so insecure in you that makes you feel the need to speak this way or be so miserable to people who are literally giving you money but YOU are the reason why people may not want to sit with you and are “slow”. No one wants to hear all that and I hope whatever management sees this and has some serious thoughts about if this is how they want to be seen and if this is the behavior they want on display for their guests… very disturbing and disappointing that I even have to put all...
