Port A Beach House Company Property Management & Vacation Rentals — Attraction in Port Aransas

Our water went out in our rental, Casa Del Mar on our second night and the management company did absolutely nothing. Tyler and Kendall were no help and very unprofessional. Caught them in multiple lies like saying it was the city’s fault that we didn’t have water. We called the city and they sent someone over within 15 minutes to confirm it wasn’t a city issue and there were no other similar issues near us. We had to call to ask for updates after we had no water after 24 hours and Tyler said a plumber was on the way… a plumber never showed. We had to use our own water bottles to flush toilets, rinse off, and make our 9 month old baby bottles. We eventually had to start using the pool water because we started running out. They never sent us over water or offered us a new place to stay.. we could clearly see the 4 units next to us weren’t being used.

This company did not give a single care about our situation and handled it very unprofessional!

The unit also stated no animals and there was dog hair on the ground and the living room smelled like dog pee. We also noticed we were charged more than we were quoted for when we booked. When we called they just brushed it off and said it was correct.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

EDIT since the company response. Just proves more lies with their response. They say it was a city issue. We called the city who told us they had no reports of low water pressure and no water outages at any locations. So the city actually came to the property 15 mins later to check on things and confirmed it was an issue inside the property and to notify the management company. Neighbors on both sides confirmed they had water as well when the city arrived. We have a work order copy from the city showing all this info as well. So blaming the city was and still is a lie while continuing to ignore our calls and texts. It was one lie after another, never one sorry or what can we do to help. They knew we were without water for two days and never reached out to help or even check on us. Even contacting the so called “emergency line” we were left without responses. We have text messages from individuals at the management company showing more lies and unprofessional and rude comments we will...

The pool is essentially a big bird bath. The bird poop was all over throughout our stay and no one came to wash it off and we stayed for a month. Also for some reason the pool lights do not come on until after midnight so when it gets dark it’s impossible to watch your kids swimming. Makes no sense to not have pool lights come on earlier even for safety reasons. The grill lid broke off the first time I opened it and was rusted so bad it was about ready to turn into a pile of dust. Kitchen cabinet door was broke our entire stay so whenever you went to get a pan the whole door falls off. One of the door knobs in the garage fell off. The golf cart has had expired plates for 2 years a cop told us luckily we got a warning. This place looks good in the pictures but it’s lipstick on a pig, the whole place is falling apart and is obviously not maintained. To the rental company’s credit when we called with issues they immediately came to fix them but why wasn’t this stuff addressed before we got there? I could have called about something every day but I gave up. Also none of the TV remotes had batteries when we checked in. Just little stuff after little stuff, reminded me of the movie “The Money Pit”. The garage and back patio had random stuff everywhere like old grill lids, etc. the dart board had 20 broken darts. Ping pong table was falling apart. None of the showers have any pressure so you honestly had to stand there for 20 min to get soap washed off. Terrible showers, that was almost the worst part that you couldn’t even take a nice hot shower. So in summary we were fooled by the pictures. I’m confused about any of the previous positive reviews and question their sanity, that’s why we rented here is because of the overall good reviews. Not what we experienced at all. Like I said it’s the rental companies job to fix this stuff prior to arrival, not wait until someone speaks up. Love Port A, just wouldn’t stay here again. We stayed at beach therapy and before we came we read the reviews on the condo and we thought we’d give it a chance. They complained about beds being hard, but that didn’t really bother us at all we had extra comforters and sheets so it was really comfortable. This was perfect for our family of 6. We are celebrating 20 years together my husband and I and we brought our babies on a little back to school summer vacation :) my oldest daughter just had a birthday as well so we just took advantage of our weekend fun. There’s a noise in the ac in living room by the bedroom it sounds like a light bulb or something. The floors looked like they hadn’t been cleaned there was sticky candy like swept under the dresser in one of the room and that red sticky stuff got on my little daughters feet and shoes it was like marshmallow or something. The edges of the carpets feel like splinters going in your feet every time you step around them. The dishes were a little dirty with like egg or something. There’s like blood or something red in the shower with the bench that was nasty. Yes the furniture was old , but we really loved this spot!the view is beautiful wish there was tvs in all the rooms though. We love the boardwalk it was so beautiful in the evening to walk and the showers right in the entrance come in handy to wash off all the sand. We loved that! We enjoyed the pool, it it was super hot water we wanted to buy ice bags 😆 this was the most perfect spot and my family and I really enjoyed our weekend. We would definitely recommend this place and we will definitely be back!my girls also played in the playground they enjoyed that as well:) Oh ya by the pool there’s a lot of aunts my daughter was sitting and just had her feet in the water and she got all bitten up on her bottom and inner thigh. It was so painful the first night, but we definitely learned our listen.
