Read moreCoffee Waves in Port Aransas is the kind of place that makes you wonder why you ever settled for mediocre coffee. It’s got a chill beachy vibe, friendly staff who probably practice smiling in the mirror, and a menu that’s annoyingly good. We went HAM and ordered a spread—here’s the snarky lowdown: • Everything Bagel with Cinnamon Honey Cream Cheese: This bagel’s so loaded with flavor it could star in an action movie. The cream cheese is sweet and sassy, like a dessert that’s judging you. • Affogato Drink: Espresso meets ice cream in a cup that’s basically flirting with you. Hot, cold, and way too smooth for its own good. • Bacon Egg and Cheese Croissant: Flaky, buttery, and stuffed with bacon and eggs so good you’ll want to write it a love letter. Cheese is the cherry on top, obviously. • Sweet Tea: Not too sweet, not too boring—just right for sipping while you pretend you’re a local who totally knows how to surf. • Gluten-Free Bagel with Strawberry Cream Cheese: Gluten-free but make it actually delicious. The strawberry cream cheese is fresher than your beach selfies. A celiac’s dream. • Blueberry Muffin: Juicy berries, hint of lemon, moist enough to make you blush. It’s the sidekick that steals the show. • Caramel Macchiato: Sweet enough to make your dentist wince, but the espresso keeps it real. Frothy and fabulous, like a coffee influencer. The place feels like a beach shack and a hipster café had a baby, and it works. If you skip Coffee Waves, you’re basically telling Port A you hate fun. Go. Eat....
Read moreWent here yesterday and my coffee was made perfectly, a white mocha with extra shot and extra pump. Decided to go back this morning for another and my husband walked three blocks to get it for me. When I got it my coffee tasted like the shot was burnt and missing the extra pump. I had no problem walking back to have it fixed however after waiting in line and disclosing my issue politely I was told I was wrong and they did it right. We even ordered two of the same coffees, both with different tastes. I again tried to kindly explain that maybe because mine was missing the writing on the cup that it could have gotten forgotten. They offered to put an extra pump but I explained how I had to walk three blocks and wait in a long line and my coffee is already cold. They said I would have to wait in the back of the line and wait even longer. Employees should be kinder to their customers. I left in tears with no refund and no coffee when I all I wanted was a simple coffee on my trip. I don’t have a lot so that was supposed to be the highlight of my day. Will...
