I had been coming to this restaurant for years every time we came to the island, but today when we complained about my friend not being asked how she wanted her T-Bone because it was dry, we found it that they don’t give you a choice on how you want your steak. They just make it medium well and you can’t ask for a replacement because they tell you their restaurant isn’t a steakhouse. What does that have to do with anything? No steak should ever be overcooked like that. The only other place this happened was at another Mexican restaurant in Houston. Apparently to shorten cook times, they cook all their steaks half way so that when they are ordered they put them back on the grill basically to warm them up. Regardless of the customer cooking preferences. And if you complain about wanting a new one, they force you to pay for the steak you will never eat and charge you replace it. We didn’t want a free meal or even a discount. We had no problem paying for a meal we could enjoy, but because we refused to pay for a steak we were never given a of how we wanted cooked and just wanted a replacement, they called the police. We didn’t feel that asking for a meal worth eating was a crime, we waited for the police to get there. I explained to the police that I wasn’t trying to get out of paying the check, I just wanted the steak remade so it would be edible. They forced us to pay for the steak. I couldn’t believe it. If you enjoy eating a steak that tastes like leather than this is the place for you, but if you enjoy your steak cooked less than medien well or well done, this is not the place for you to order a...

Worst place ever!!!!!!! I have tried to contact a manager before blasted them on social media but every time I call its a different story and different time. Manager is never there. We went to this restaurant for the first time this past Wednesday with our 3 kids and our 8 month old. From the time we walked in the staff was not friendly but what has really got me bothered is the fact that 2 employees were coughing and it was a deep cough. One was our server. We got our food and I thought maybe he choked on something he was eating at the counter but it continued. No one wanted to do anything about it. They were not attentive to their tables. They continued to sit at the bar and watch loud videos on their phone, eat and cough. The kids plates were so small that they finished quickly. Me on the other hand didn’t get to finish. We payed for our food and left. We didn’t want anyone to get sick from them coughing and coughing in their hands. Thankfully they did wash but still if you are sick don’t come to work!!!!! Kids plates were 8.25 and that didn’t even come with a drink. Ridiculous and over priced. We went to an expensive restaurant in downtown corpus and their kids plates were only $7.50 and it came with lots of food and a drink. Will never come back here again and will never recommend it to...

I went here on Sunday 10/8/2023 at 11:30 a.m. The workers were eating tacos and quesadillas behind the bar which I’m pretty sure is a no no. One of the workers was rolling silverware and dropped a fork on the filthy floor then picked it up and rolled it up to be used by an unsuspecting customer…gross. The bar area was cluttered and was being used by workers to roll silverware and the area had an unpleasant odor. I ordered the Texas plate that comes with carne guisada, cheese enchiladas, guacamole, rice and beans. -The carne guisada was tough and flavorless -The cheese enchiladas were not melted in the middle…the cheese was still hard and cold. -The guacamole had a strange sour flavor and appeared to be something store bought in a plastic bag and slopped on your plate. I would bet a paycheck there is not an actual whole avocado in that whole kitchen. -The tortillas were store bought and cold. -The rice was somewhat edible but the refried beans had a watery texture and no flavor…terrible. My wife ordered two bean and cheese chalupas and they brought here two bean and cheese tacos.

I could go on and on. I can’t believe this place has any positive reviews but maybe some folks don’t know what TexMex should taste and look like. I will never go back, this place...

One of two Waitress took orders then disappeared to other side of large room to lounge in plain sight. Only 3 other parties in restaurant We asked food delivery guy for more water. One small bowl of chips and dip for 4 adults. This place treated us like tourist that would eat there one time and never be back, so why do anything extra? actually we will be in town for three months but we will try every place on the island before we come back to this place. as we were paying our $75 bill, I told the cashier that this was the worst service I can ever remember receiving. He was a good cashier, but evidently I should have loaned him money for a hearing aid, because he suddenly became stone cold deaf, since he purposefully totally ignored what I told him. so for the first time in my memory, I did not add a tip to the bill. Hard working waitresses deserve all the tip money they earn because their livehood depends on it but lazy waitresses should find a different job. And management should help them out the door.

Friendly, fast service. Even though the place was absolutely packed and every table was filled we got our food in 3 minutes it was amazing. Solid food, nothing fancy but good, fresh high quality Tex Mex. The salsa was better than average we went through 3 bowls! Friendly, professional staff that were all working together running food, seating people and bussing tables as a team. I watched big groups walked in one after another and even with a packed house they were able.to accommodate everyone quickly. Most other restaurants would have been on a 15 to 20 minute wait. Not this staff! They cleaned tables the moment people left and got all these big groups seated asap. Will definitely be back our favorite breakfast spot on the island!

Great food that is nice to your wallet! My girl and I would start our day everyday while in Port A here with their nice breakfast. My girl has tried their chorizo taco and enjoyed it. We both have tried the barbacoa (cheek meat) and eggs that comes with refried beans, potatoes and tortillas. Everything was great especially the barbacoa. It was amazing with flavor and tenderness. Cost around 7 to 8$ per plate. Really good and filling. Their water tastes good in case you care to know. Highly recommend. Easy to get to location as well. On the right coming in Port A from Corpus Christi.
