Port St. Lucie Community Center — Attraction in Port Saint Lucie

If I can rate this place a 0 I would. I have been to many events hosted in this place by many of my family members and even I have hosted here it has always been great with great staff and great police officers recently I was invited to a wedding hosted 2/24 everything was starting off wrong, the staff were being extremely rude to the guest and the police office (short hispanic lady) was being extremely disrespectful for no reason. The way she expressed herself in every situation was just out of line, there was many ways to say and set the rules appropriately but she did not , they even went ahead and shut down the vending machine that was keeping the kiddos happy for the night, nobody was allowed to be by the front doors not even the parents with the crying babies. The staff that work there with a broken foot even closed out the side kitchen door no one was allowed to going through there. The whole evening was just extremely stressful having to deal with these staff that were extremely rude, to top everything off that night we had paid in advance to have the event cleaned and at the end of the day they did not clean i have videos of US cleaning. I was in a bridal party in which we were rained out of our venue and last minute had to change. Thank you for being awesome with that. Then when we got there this nice black haired gentlemen in the front let me store some cold items in the fridge and let us get the bride reading in a conference room instead of a bathroom. Again, I so appreciate it. After my friends were annouced HUSBAND AND WIFE. the husband and grooms men got a tad bit excited in the hallway, I get them not supposed to be that loud but the man with gauges and piercings at the front YELLED "Quiet down! You cant be doing all that out here". It was so, rude. I work in customer service and all he had to do was get up and kindly ask us and just word it differently. Not speak to a bunch of 30+ year old people and yell at us like children. I will probably never recommend this place due to that. He was the rudest man we have ever encountered.

I go to the gym a few times a week when they open at 6am- they've got a lot of nice equipment packed into a little space. Staff is very nice and helpful. I go there mainly because the rate is less than other gyms and it's very close to my house. In the morning the gym is essentially a senior's social club, which is fine - this is Florida. Something I've noticed though is that there are NO CELL PHONES signs plastered all over the room - ostensibly to discourage people from having loud conversations that people who are working out don't care to hear - and yet in the early morning people are literally yelling their conversations to each other over the sounds of the machines.
