Ordered takeout for breakfast. Arrived in 15 min when the order should’ve been done (also when I was told it would be ready). I gave the woman behind the counter my name and told her I was picking up an order. She then wandered around to several other employees repeating my name (as if asking if they knew anything about the order) and they all thoroughly ignored her. She never came back to the counter to give me any kind of update, or even confirm They had the order. I waited another 15 min while most of the staff stood around on a slow morning. It’s sad to see this level of service after working in the industry. I was a short order breakfast cook in a much busier, large chain. Cooking scrambled takes 2min and bacon takes 5 min at most on a professional flat top at 425 degrees. Even if they were busy and my order was behind 3 others 30 min is an unacceptable amount of time to wait. If someone would have just said anything to me like; we’re working on the order, or it’ll be a few more minutes, I would’ve just hung out. Read moreSo, I'm super disappointed. My husband and I came in because we love the US-1 location. We ordered the same breakfast. Our eggs came out wildly underdone and the waitress never brought our toast - leaving us with about 1/4 of edible breakfast each. She never came to check on us. After about 30 minutes of waiting for her to come back she asked us what was wrong. Her solution to fixing it was to make sure that we ask for her next time and she would make it up to us. We informed her that we would not be back as this was our first time and it wasn't a good experience and asked for the bill. She then spent the next 5 minutes begging for us to come back saying that the place is better than this. We had to ask for the bill again. She made no effort to try to get a manager to talk to us or to reduce the bill in any way considering we ate nothing, and left hungry. Definitely not coming back to...
Read moreMy second review of this restaurant and it will be my last. We know it’s not season but there were only 3 tables with guests at lunchtime on a Friday. Heard some grumbling by a patron stating that his friends won’t be coming back in with the changes that were implemented. However, we do go since we made a connection with the servers and enjoyed the food. After this visit, we were blown away when we received our check. At no time was there anything posted on the menu, on the door, or were we advised that a surcharge would be on our check to pay for “Rosita’s”processing fees. We have no problem paying for it as long as we are notified prior. Actually, we usually pay cash. Because of this we are done. It saddens us that this diner has truly gone downhill and it will not last with the changes along with how they have treated staff who left. Thanks for the memories…..Time to make new...
