If you're reading this, just do it -- go there, you won't regret it! This is the way watch-shopping should be. No need to go anywhere else along the Florida east coast.
Mariano and everyone at the boutique put their all into getting you what you want and making sure you're knowledgeable enough about what you're getting that you even develop a love for all the moving parts before it's in your hands. Mariano Steisel and his family have been doing this a LONG time and you can feel their love for it.
My story? My deceased grandfather passed down a 1940s Hamilton/Ball railroad pocketwatch, but one with no history to it and no family significance to it. I had no clue about horology until I did some Google-diving, so I knew only enough to be dangerous when I took it in to Mariano. I knew I had a mega-rare watch, but it wasn't what I wanted to wear and make memories with, and not what I wanted to pass down to my sons. I wanted a wristwatch.
Mariano diligently inspected the pocket watch and showed me it was still working beautifully, and educated me on some of the key parts of a pocket watch. After helping me through selling it after-market to a collector, which he didn't need to do (he did it because he loves educating/helping watch collectors and aspiring "watch aficionados"), he connected me to the watch I'd been eyeing over after seeing it at his boutique -- the Hamilton Ventura -- and was even able to snag the last of a discontinued Ventura automatic line for me! HOW COOL IS THAT? A new family heirloom and story begins...
Anyway, Mariano and the team at the store go above and beyond the in-store experience, with The Watch Aficionado podcast, a slew of Instagram shorts, and a really great website where you can grow your brain and open your eyes to hand-worked and well-serviced timepieces. I learned more about watches just from listening to his podcast than I've forgotten about a lot of other subjects.

Read moreI could not be happier with the appearance of the business, the highly skilled owners and their friendly Professional staff. All of the reviews that I read prior to coming here, and today was my first time, were absolutely true. Best service, great prices and quick, honest service. I had 3 different watches that needed batteries and they installed them while I waited. I could not be happier. No matter how expensive a watch you have or how rare, if it needs to be serviced go no where but here. They have all the equipment needed to fix any watch that needs that special equipment and skilled knowledge. You'll leave having made new friends and knowing you were treated fairly. They are truly the consumate professionals. I'll be back as well as recommending them to family and friends. Well today, June 27, 2024 I returned ,as promised, with my wife to have her watch and a ring checked. Mariano, the owner, recognized me and immediately greeted us. My wife had a watch battery replaced and he did a quick temporary fix on a ring that was loose on her finger. He explained that in the future he could make a permanent fix.He took the time to explain just how it would be done and, I must say, we will have him eventually make the repair. While there my wife saw a beautiful pair of earrings which she purchased. There was zero pressure on Mariano's part to buy anything. She left feeling exactly how I felt the first time I had visited, that they are Professionl and extremely knowledgeable of both the jewlery and watch profession. " What a nice guy" she said after we left. I feel that I can trust him and his dad , Mario, with all my jewlery, watch, repairs and purchases. She's defiinately another satisfied customer. Give them a call or just stop in! I promise you won't be...
Read more5-Star Review for The Watch and Jewelry Aficionado
I recently visited The Watch and Jewelry Aficionado in Port St. Lucie for what started as a simple battery replacement on my vintage Omega, but it turned into so much more. From the moment I walked into their welcoming showroom at 1680 SW Saint Lucie West Blvd, Suite 104, I was greeted by Mariano and his team with genuine enthusiasmâlike I'd been a regular for years, not a first-timer.
Their selection is nothing short of impressive: rows of pre-owned luxury pieces from Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, and even Tissot, all meticulously presented with that family-owned charm that's been serving the community.. What sets them apart, though, is the expertise. Mariano took one look at my watch and not only swapped the battery but spotted a subtle alignment issue, fixing it on the spot for no extra charge. He even shared stories about the brand's history that made me appreciate my timepiece in a whole new way.
Pricing? Fair and transparentâno pushy sales tactics here. They saved me hundreds compared to quotes from bigger chains, and their repair turnaround was lightning-fast (just three days for a delicate necklace fix I threw in at the last minute). If you're in the Treasure Coast hunting for bespoke jewelry, custom designs, or just top-notch service, this is your spot. The Watch and Jewelry Aficionado isn't just a storeâit's a passion project that feels like home. Highly recommend; I'll be back for my next...
