I hate to give it a one star however I started my visit very negatively. As a father driving form out of town trying to take his family to enjoy despicable me 4 I purchased the tickets at the box office. Once we entered, we were advised no outside food or drinks allowed. Keep in mind we have a 2 year old child, all we were carrying into the movie theatre was A water bottle for when my 2 year old asked for water. Again ONE water bottle. We were not bringing in a diaper bag or anything else at hand. SIMPLY A WATER BOTTLE. We advised the staff member that it was water for our 2 year old and she could inspect it as we were willing to open the water bottle for her if she liked. She disagreed and insisted we return our water bottle for our 2 year old to the car. My wife and I stood there hoping she would understand it was for a child. However she did not. If it wasn't for my children being excited to watch the movie I would have returned the tickets. Instead I walked back to my vehicle and secured the water bottle that was going to be hot once we were out of the movie theatre. My child did not have water to drink after we returened from watching the movie because of the temperature inside the car. Since we drove from out of town to porterville just to watch the movie in a less popupated theater, I was extremely uncomfortable. Like i said if it wasnt for my family i would have taken my business elsewere. There is a difference between letter of the law and spirit of the law. I believe the staff members would have been okay with practicing spirit of the law as we were completely okay with alowing her to inspect the liquid inside the watter bottle for my 2 year old. It would be equivalent to taking a bottle with milk or water. Would we have had to leave that in the car too? Please consider the need for outside WATER for toddlers to be accepted. My business will be taken elsewhere. Thank you for...
Read moreIt’s very disappointing that we spend so much to make the movie that much more enjoyable by treating ourselves with pricey, limited selection of treats and popcorn. Get to the show right on time, seated all selected before the show and a half dozen teens walking into the room 45 min into the movie scattered all through front of the screen, recording the movie, tlkn, going in and out of the room all bcz they’re not annoying everyone enough! They’re told by an employee to be quiet, and start it all back up once employee’s out of the room, another employee comes in and just stares at the kids but not once address the issue… I’ve also heard about this same problem multiple times from different people, these kids have taken over and employees are aware and just don’t bother to address or correct the issue. Don’t waste your money at the theater & rent it at home through the number apps available or maybe a different theater in a bigger city that cares about the...
Read moreUpdate from my last review years ago. Thought since we were in town with family that we could enjoy a movie all together but it's still not very nice here. Nothing new besides they sell alcohol now (which no one ordered). I mean at least they could have updated their seats like Tulare did. The seats here are very uncomfortable & you have to stand up to stretch out every so often or you'll wind up having a leg go numb. I'd rather stick to Tulare's theater or elsewhere.
Wow, this Galaxy theater use to be mine & my family's favorite to go to but it has changed & not for the good. Even the employees are getting pretty bad & the manager is just as horrible. You can't ask her questions cause she'll just shrug you off & don't bother trying to get her help cause she won't even bother with helping you or fixing any problem's you may have encountered while trying to enjoy your family night out at the movie's. I won't be retuning ever again, nor do I recommend...
