Asia Garden — Restaurant in Porterville

Portions were very small for the price. One person could have eaten the 3 dishes that were ordered. Cumin beef did not taste of cumin, but had a very good flavor of cilantro with it. Traditionally this is served as a lamb/mutton dish and has a lot of cumin and some chili with it. It could be better, but not horrible. The bowl was full of cabbage underneath, so there was not even much beef to this dish. The General Tso tofu was delicious, but could be tossed in the sauce more, so it gets a good coating of the sauce. The tofu with vegetables was also quite good, but there needs to be more. I don't feel that there was value for the money. They used fairly big plastic containers, but they weren't full, could have used a little more food so we weren't hungry afterwards.

Update: Ate in with friends. Plates had a lot of food on them. The food was good. The General Tso tofu was much better, in a richer sauce, well coated. The chicken dish we had was delicious and slightly spicy, a lot of food on the plate. We got a shrimp dish, unfortunately, the shrimp had that strong shrimp / seafood flavor, not in a pleasant way, but I don't particularly like shrimp, so others liked it. Sweet & sour pork, definitely very tasty. Definitely upgrade the food score to a solid 4 stars...

If I can give 0 stars I would. This place is stupid. I ordered the beef and broccoli it 15.45 and they only gave me the beef and broccoli and even left a note on the order on how I wanted my noodles and they only send me my beef and broccoli so I paid 15.45 for just meat and broccoli and they wanted me to drive another 30min back to pick up the noddles. Point is don’t order online because they’re so stupid they don’t even look at the notes you leave. This place is pathetic. It’s sad because I’ve always ordered the same way and they wanted to make the excuse that it was just the side I ordered. How are both things the same price??? Over 15 dollars no matter what? It’s so stupid. They should have looked at the notes customer leave to ensure they make the orders correctly. They said the notes don’t pop up until the order is picked up so tell me how do they know how ppl want they’re noodles or if they want all noodles if the notes show after? Make...

So disappointed today. Placed my order then went to pick up. Came home and tried calling them back to complain about my order being wrong. No one answered. So went back to get order right. I told them I wanted everything fresh. And then waited for about 25 minutes or so. Then still waited a little longer still. Then cashier was trying to figure orders. Then says what order is this. I asked maybe it might be mine. And they said yes it is! And I told them that order had been there at least 10 minutes. Came home and our food was cold. Beef broccoli was soggy too. This time for sure we are not returning to order food from here. We are done! And also they take...
