Brought gun in for a barrel swap. Took way longer than it should've (15 days to order a gas block and tube and do the work, I ordered the same parts and received them in 4 days), and when I got the gun back, the vertical grip was missing, the handguard is loose and looks like the fastener holes could be stripped. I emailed him after I got home about how I was unhappy with the whole process, and instead of taking responsibility he wanted to blame it on me by making the excuse that customer supplied parts take longer instead of just saying that they dropped the ball ordering the parts. Had to reach out to get a status update 10 days in, and never got a phone call that it was finished, even though Rob said he tried calling. I actually showed up to just pick the upper expecting it not to be completed, hence why I ordered my own parts, and now wish he never touched it. Not sure what happened, but this is not ok. Rob even mentioned that it was loose, so why wasn't this addressed before pick up? I now have to take it somewhere else to make sure that I don't need a new handguard. Gun was perfect when I dropped off and now I'm nervous to shoot it. I brought it to an "expert" so I didn't have to worry about it, and now I'm worse off. I'm a veteran and couldn't go shooting because Rob had my gun over the holiday. My friend at work warned me not to go here because he had an issue with work also. Somehow parts got into the buffer tube while Rob had it. If my friend didn't notice this, the barrel would've blown up in his wife's face. Never again...

First time purchasing any fire arm as a new CCL within the state of Connecticut. I called around the area to confirm what store had the firearms I was interested in and Central CT Arms had both.

The owner Robert as well as Frank were there in-store yesterday to help assist me every step of the way. The prior night I had phoned in and reached Michelle who was also very helpful and polite which helped me decide to support the store over others in the greater Hartford area. They actually were kind enough to offer a preowned version of one of the models I was looking at (both brand new and used were available), saving me a couple of hundred dollars…. Certainly something Robert did not have to do as a business person but 100% helps secure a return customer.

I did not feel out of place or judged due to my lack of lingo/paperwork/product knowledge. Superb service and a much wider selection than I have seen at some other locations prior to deciding on the two I wanted.

Just took both to the range today and wow! The S&W 340PD as well as the HK VP9SK not only carry and conceal rather easily but fire with minimal recoil and high amounts of accuracy.

A note to Robert and Frank; this review is a accurate review however an incognito name (Nice meeting the both of you and I think you can figure out who this is by my purchase). I took the basic NRA pistol course in October 2017 as a complete novice with the intent to learn/obtain a sidearm, utilizing for home/property/family protection. The course was awesome, and made me intrigued to learn more about firearms. I went to Central CT Arms this week as a first-time buyer with no experience or clue what to pursue for a home safety purchase. I was met by Eddie, Lori and Rob -- they all spent over an hour reviewing different firearms, allowing me to hold/grip/practice with each pistol. There was never any rushing or pushing me toward a specific product -- they did not push me towards things due to cost or their personal preferences -- they gave me the factual details about each and let me decide what felt right -- yet they always integrated their knowledge and experience related to each product. They each provided me with pros/cons of each pistol. I went in there comfortable after the basic NRA course, but was incredibly impressed after being the recipient of each persons' experience/knowledge/recommendations/and professionalism. I left there very comfortable and confident -- and they each assured me that they were easily available for further inquiry and/or questions. I recommend Rob and his staff very highly, and am grateful to know that there are individuals such as this to assist with the imperative asset/right to protect oneself, loved ones and property.
