Perfume smell in my dry cleaning. I asked the gal who spoke little English, but did have the great smile and nodding down, if I could get my never-dry-cleaned or washed before Pendleton sweater vest cleaned with out any fragrance or perfume. I asked at least twice, slower and used different phrases. She smiled and nodded, got my name and number on my ticket. I took my stub and left without any confidence in this transaction. I arrived back on day she said it was to be done.

I paid my $7 for my item. I tried to smell it in the shop and then realized that the whole shop was fragrance filled. So I waited till I got home. Sure enough, it was so smelly that I had to hang it in the other room. I tried it on before putting it aside. It was tighter than before I took it there. I am suspicious that it was washed in their smelly washing machine and dried in regular dryer. If so, that explains the shrinkage and the smell.

My trip here was to give them another chance to please me. Once upon a time, I came here a lot and always managed to negotiate my needs with the Korean speaking owners. Not this time. I don't think that this gal would have understood my English even though I think she would have understood the concept if only I were so keen as to speak her language which must be a dialect of Chinese.

The previous time I was here, more than year ago soon after previous owners sold the place, I tried to get a new flannel duvet washed in a front end loader because my small washer couldn't fit it inside. They said they were going to be getting new washers soon, but I needed my item now. The duvet was so perfumed just from their laundry machine that I had to hang it to air out for a week in my extra bedroom. I couldn't abide the idea that I would be sleeping with the perfume. By the time it needed washing again we had a new washer unit that fits larger items. Thank goodness.

The stars are for being in the neighborhood and making the service available for locals who don't have laundry machines at home. That was once me. Many people are not bothered by fragrances but I am and I become so stopped up in my sinuses that I've learned to avoid fragrances whenever possible. I wasn't that way before I stopped tobacco 15 years ago. So I get that. It's just when customers ask for service and the shop agrees, they should keep their word. Dry cleaning doesn't...

I went to the Peacock Laundry Mat on N Lombard St Next to the Fred Meyers early on a Sunday morning And I didn't know how to use the digital machine 4 the 🧺 machines and I used my card and it went into pending status. So I went to the coin machine and I put $ 10.00 in it . The machine was out of change 😭. So I went 2 Fred Meyers and broke a $ 50.00 Came back and used the other side of the coin machine It worked. I made a 🤳 call to a customer service rep and explained my situation and loss of my money ect . The gentleman said hey no problemo. Come in later today and I'll take care of it Reluctantly it was 2 weeks later when I came in . I spoke to the Peacock Laundry worker which turned out to be the proprietor of the business. I said I was the dumbass that didn't know how to use the digital machine ect , He said na worries, cuz he recognized me from the video cameras .and he would give me a full refund for my troubles 😁. I said that I haven't seen this kind of customer service's For a Eon, so now I come here every time I do my laundry. Very nice people there, I think the Lady that works the dry cleaning part of this business is his wife ? Again very nice people...

I dropped off a Bed comforter to be washed and dried for same day pick up. after picking it up at the set time I got home & removed the item from the plastic garbage bag & it was still damp so I had to place it in my dryer to finish drying it. after removing it from the dryer I realize the unit still have the same perfume & baby milk combo smells on it prior to me dropping it off. maybe with my item looking clean as it was they just figured I would not notice and they would hit it with a steamer & I wouldn’t notice. After calling them and them apologize and saying I could return it and they would take care of it but upon arrival they pretend it was a misunderstanding and they only told me to bring it back so they can air dry it. so I explain to them that i dried it at home but what about the smell? Stating that it doesn’t smell clean. the lady said cleaning it again would not help and they can only air dry so basically I called my credit card company and had them deal with The payment dispute.
