Lombard House — Restaurant in Portland

Had the pleasure of visiting Lombard House the other day. I must say for a small venue they do a great job! Really chill environment when you walk in, friendly bar tender, light conversation around you, and most importantly good beer selection! If you need to grab a pint or find a place that’s a little different than your “usual bar” then this is probably your place. There is a lot of old beer marketing pieces on the wall and a few games at the tables around you to play with some friends. You are even allowed to bring your pup in with you, if you so choose. Favorite bar in St. John’s hands down! Small and homy sports bar setting with tons of decal all over. Huge patio area to hang out. Great food carts across the street that is allowed in the bar. Keep telling them they need a bigger TV for sports but maybe I’m just being a little too picky. Either way, the owner Brian is a super friendly guy that introduces himself to just about everyone that walks in. Makes the experience that much better and I can’t recommend this...

With a small and friendly pub-like feeling on the inside, Lombard House boasts an impressive outdoor patio area hidden just behind building itself, with a size that belies its initial appearance of low capacity.
