My family drove to this tree "wishing" that it was everything and more. When we arrived, it was less than spectacular. The wishes have been there for many years, so they are in pretty bad shape. Some oddly have ziploc bags attached with some sort of unknown liquid inside. There are no pens, wish papers, or strings to attach any new wishes, so be sure if you wish to add to this tree, bring your own supplies. The saddest part for us is that there are a lot of very bad wishes there for people to die, break their limbs, suffer, etc. So, what could have been a tree with good energy has turned into a mixed bag of good and bad mojo and energy. The fact that someone maintains and restocks the pens and tags for passers-by to write down their wishes and keep this cute communal attraction going is charming enough in itself, but reading the wishes adds an even greater sense of compassion and well-being. Ignore the naysayers and NIMBYs, and if you're in the area, check it out, grab a tag, put your heartfelt desire onto paper, and try imagining, just for a second, in a world where all of our wishes actually...
