Vivi's Yummy Rolls — Attraction in Portland

This food cart has huge portions, delicious food and a great court yard to eat your food, with covered picnic tables, trash and recycling bins and bathrooms. The lady who was working the window is very friendly and knowledgeable. We had stopped here hoping to eat at GF chef, but they are gone. Their cart isn't even here anymore. We looked around and this looked like the safest option for our family, which is gluten free due to food allergies, not choice. The lady who runs this cart is regularly asked about gluten and knew right away what was safe, which was ninety percent of the menu. My husband and spawn ordered the fried rice and curry to share. I ordered the pork noodles which usually come with spring rolls, which are not safe, so she gave me extra noodles. The fried rice was very good and the curry made the other two happy, though I was glad I didn't order it...personal palate preference and nothing more.

My pork and noodles were freaking delicious! They have fresh cucumbers and lettuce under the noodles, which perfectly balance the savory pork and noodles. The meal came with a spiced oil on the side which was delicious and I ended up dumping the whole container on it after determining I could handle the spice level. I like chipotle and habanero level spice, no more than that. This was dialed back from that...more of a jalapeno level spice. I had only eaten a peach all day and still couldn't eat more than half the plate. I had enough to take home for leftovers which my son, home from college, happily consumed. :) This is definitely a place we will return to.

I will say I do like this place. I think that they have potential to earn a few more stars within the course of my next coupla' visits. But for starters it's a solid 3. Nothing to be 'shamed of!

I got the curry noodles... basically a birth child of pad thai and curry. Kind of two greats = another great. It was flavorful enough and a good helping size. Nothing ground breaking but good. I look forward to trying more menu items.

The bubble tea is awesome too but I am hoping to ask for a small next time instead of a default large. Lots of options with flavors etc.

It was standard lunch hour, even a little early and they had trouble keeping orders coming out swiftly and in sequence. I know it's a hard gig with two folks at lunch so give them a little extra time, do not come here if you are in a super rush. It is one of the first carts you run into, smells great and has friendly faces so you and many others are likely to stop and give it a try.

This cart lot is awesome! Lots of choices, even sushi hidden back behind the ice cream joint! Plenty of parking around just don't expect a spot in the back lot around peak hours. Save your sanity and just...

This place is amazing! Everything I’ve tried is next level good, and they’re so accommodating! I’m vegan and they can make almost anything on their menu vegan, and even have specified menu items labeled vegan! if I say I want something small, done. If I say I want spicy, they can make it that too. Not to mention, the owners clearly put their heart and soul into this business.
